Apologies for the two selections on Tuesday; they were horrendous.

The Heather Main runner on chasing debut drifted out to 33/1, so I wasn't expecting much. In fairness, the horse ran better than I thought with that drift.

His jumping was very poor, but he might be one to keep an eye on for the future.

Concetto also took a drift and wasn't given the same type of ride from last time out, which was a surprise.

When I saw Harry Cobden booked, I expected him to go from the front. The horse never looked at the races and was very laboured.

C'Est Different 7/4 (1pt) – Market Rasen 13.55

I put up C'Est Different on a lucky 15 thread the other week when the Cheltenham November meeting was on, but he didn't turn up.

Apparently, he suffered a knock, so it's a little risky going for him today on the back of that.

However, if he is firing on all cylinders, I still think he could be very well handicapped off a mark of 109.

This is his first attempt over 2m 7f, and based on how he won over 2m 3f, it looks sure to suit. On his last start, he won better than the two lengths suggest, so the big hike in the weights should be doable.

Also, this is a pertemps qualifier, which makes me think that this race final in March could be a possibility. If Sam Thomas fully believes that they can sneak in at the bottom of the weights for that race, he'll have to win this and another in good fashion to get a chance to run.

Paddy O'Mahler 9/4 (2pt) – Wetherby 2.39

I recently backed a winner from the Joel Parkinson & Sue Smith yard, and I mentioned in that preview that when they're in great form, they continue to pump out winners for a few weeks.

I am always concerned when taking on a lightly raced Lucinda Russell chaser, as they are normally well-handicapped, but I do like the look of Paddy O'Mahler.

This once-raced chaser made a lovely debut over fences at Market Rasen, only being beaten by a horse who looked ahead of the handicapper.

The handicapper hasn't been harsh on him and has only raised him 2lbs for the good runner-up effort. With that run under his belt, gaining match fitness, today's race looks like one he can definitely win.

After watching the previous race back, he might have won if he hadn't hit the second fence from home, which gives me plenty of optimism for today.

There is another horse I would like to back, but the odds are far too short, and the risk-to-reward isn't good enough. If the horse drifts overnight/morning, and I have enough time, I'll update the thread.
