Unfortunately, neither of the Sam Thomas runners on the main thread didn't get the victories at Cheltenham.
I knew the writing was on the wall from an early stage with Jubilee Express. He was prominent when the tapes fell, but slowly found himself going backwards. His jumping fell apart, and his confidence was evidently low.
Vincenzo had plenty of support in the market, going off as a clear favourite in a competitive handicap. His jumping also wasn't as good as it should have been, and that was the reason why he had to settle for second place.
Crackerjacque EVS (2pt) – Fontwell 12.57
At the time of writing, Crackerjacque is the EVS favourite. If he doesn't go off at least half of this current price, I'd be shocked.
We don't know anything about his fitness or if he can jump a hurdle, but his bumper form is very good, and he hails from a smart stable.
Last time out at Aintree, he didn't run a strong race, but the bumper form of Sandown from the time before is worth mentioning. The third has since won a bumper and was impressive on his hurdling debut.
The Skelton horse in fifth has since won two hurdle races, including one at Cheltenham on Friday in a Class 3 handicap.
There are some useful-looking horses in this race, with nice futures, but Anthony Honeyball's runner stands out as the most likely winner.
It's a tad frustrating that early odds of 13/8 went when I was typing this up, but that happens on a regular basis.

Despite being out of form, I think it's worth chancing Just Over Land on his return to racing.
I tipped him up on his first chase start last season when he finished second to Booster Bob. When watching that race, I thought he wouldn't struggle winning races that season, but he didn't manage to get his head in front.
Considering that is decent form, with the winner being a solid horse, surely he can win a race of this nature off a 5lb lower mark.
He gets Mr Harvey Barfoot-Saunt in the saddle, who rode a horse for these connections on Saturday. The jockey is yet to get a winner, but the fact that this yard is happy to use him means he is a decent enough rider.
Hudson and Ballyfinn are making their chasing debuts, so they have something to prove. Scorsese ran an okay race on chasing debut at Cheltenham, but not enough to get me to tip him up.
The other two have raced against each other before, and are the main dangers. However, off a reduced mark and for a trainer in good form, Just Over Land gets the verdict.
