Everton's injury-time winner at Goodison Park on Thursday has piled the pressure on the teams in and around them at the bottom of the table, and none moreso than Leeds who travel to Wolves tonight.
The Toffees' victory has moved them to within a point of Jesse Marsch's side with two games in hand and if anyone is going to get sucked in to the bottom three Leeds now look the most likely.
Marsch won his first points as Leeds boss with a 2-1 win over Norwich last weekend but he'll start taking points off teams above them if he's to make a quick impression at Elland Road. Prior to that win Leeds went eight games without a win (L7 D1) and their defence was like a sieve, conceding 20 goals in seven games. The win over the Canaries was none too convincing either having conceded a 91st minute equaliser only to snatch victory 3 minutes later.

Partick Bamford's return will make a big difference to them in the run-in and fans will be praying he can remain fit for the remainder of the season and he's 15/8 to get his name on the scoresheet tonight.
Wins against Everton and Crystal Palace have put Wolves back in the hunt for a top six finish in what has been an impressive debut season by Bruno Lage. Sitting in eighth place, his side have only lost four games against teams currently below them and just once to a team in the bottom eight (Brentford back in September).
Goals have been hard to come by but their success this season has been built on a solid defence which has conceded just 23 goals in 29 games, a record only bettered by Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea. If they can keep Bamford and Raphina quiet that should give them a platform to take all three points and climb above West Ham and Spurs who both meet on Sunday.

No joy with last nights nap, a surprising lack of goals in Leverkusen beat it but the nb landing after half an hour softened the blow. Newcastle dc and corners beaten by a late injury time goal although no one should’ve been clinging on to make an extra few pence in the 99th min. The advise as always is to cash out winning bets at that stage. Onto today and I fancy a few goals down under between the jets and the nix, there’s been 9 in the 2 meetings so far and I don’t see that changing. Newcastle Jets v Wellington Phoenix (A-League)
Newcastle have mostly underperformed all season, with their inability to stop conceding in almost every game, letting them down. I’m positive they’ll concede again here. However, they should have enough to score against a somewhat weakened Phoenix squad, who are missing a few players.
Phoenix are having a decent season, scoring plenty of goals, but conceding in almost equal measure. They had a surprise loss last time out against Brisbane Roar, so coach Talay (who is a really decent coach for this league), will be looking for an immediate response.
Lack of defensive structure for both sides, goals is the obvious choice. For Phoenix, goals are generally in the form of Sotirio, so he’s my pick for anytime goalscorer at decent odds.

I’ve just noticed the Celtic NAP has dropped to 4/6. Add Celtic double chance or Celtic 1+ goal to bump odds to 8/11 (or both for 4/5).
Celtic have notched 7 corners in their last 2 Ross.C. games.
ChelseaGirl- I did notice that yesterday and nearly swapped the NAP and NB around because of it. But to put those 2 games in to context – the last game was away at Ross and the game at Celtic park was way back in September. It’s the business end of the season now and Celtic need to really press on. Any side who averages 10.3 corners at home need to be backed each home game in my opinion, especially as Ross concede an average of 7.3 corners on their travels. We’ll see! 🤞🏻👍🏻

4 games from the A league in the morning, focus for me is on just the one tho- the Melbourne derby. Coming into this one neither side are particularly firing and both are leaky- both sides have managed 1 clean sheet apiece in their last 15! Similarly in those 15 games both teams have seen btts in 12 of those, so it’s no surprise my first thought for this one is goals. Btts/o2.5 is generally available around evens, as I’m just sticking to the one bet for this I’m going to try and squeeze a bit extra out using cards and corners. Regulars will know city corners at home have been a goldmine for us, so I’m adding them and keeping the line fairly low, as well as a card apiece for a nice odds against betbuilder.
