Aberdeen and Hibs secured their place in the next round of the Europa Conference League but both would've preferred more uneventful matches en route.
The Dons lost 2-0 in Sweden but the first leg 5-1 gave them enough of a cushion to progress. Hibs went a goal down in Andorra before replying with two goals to win 5-1 on aggregate.
Both sides play in the competition next week as qualifying for the group stages of all the Euro competitions heats up.
It was pleasing to record a winning Treble at odds of just over 5/2 thanks to comfortable wins for Rosenborg, Hapeol Be'er Sheva and Bohemians.
On Friday night, and in the absence of much football elsewhere, our attention turns the Irish league where the Dublin Derby sees the top two sides meet in Tallaght. Shamrock Rovers and St Pat's are tied on 41 points with the hosts having a game in hand.
The Hoops have largely had in the upper hand in this fixture and despite being second, St Pats have won just three from ten on the road – two of which have been against teams in the bottom three of the table. That makes the 10/11 available on Shamrock Rovers appeal.
Earlier in the week KevMac posted his pre-season thoughts for the Scottish Leagues which is worth a read ahead of the big kick-off. The team at Gambla have also recorded an in-depth preview of all four divisions with Pie & Bovril's David McDonald joining usual hosts Greg Browning and Selectabet.
An early heads-up on a popular bet is the 23/20 (Bet365) on Dunfermline to win at Cappielow on Saturday. The Pars have made a strong start to the season, qualifying from their Premier Sports Cup group stage under new gaffer Peter Grant. Hosts Morton are favourites to go down from the Championship and look like they'll struggle for goals this season.
