TUESDAY'S Champions League games went pretty much as expected and hopefully it's more of the dame on Wednesday.

Liverpool are out to rescue the defence of their crown as they kick off at Anfield 1-0 down to Atletico Madrid.

Luckily for Jurgen Klopp this one has beaten the coronavirus and will be packed to the gunnels. The atmosphere won't spook Diego Simeone's tough Spanish outfit but often the Anfield faithful have lifted Liverpool to new heights and I'm backing them to qualify for the last eight.

PSG haven't been so lucky with fans locked out of their blockbuster return against Borussia Dortmund who lead 2-1.

I need over 2.5 match goals here to land my Champions League treble after Leipzig's win over Spurs and both teams scoring in Valencia. My Top Treble was a loser thanks to Sunderland and having said I didn't like the price I regret taking them.

I've posted a separate Champions League preview and check out SlipTips' PSG vs Dortmund match preview and kevinmac's thoughts on Liverpool vs Atletico Madrid.

I'd planned to have over 2.5 goals at Man City vs Arsenal in the Premiership on my treble but that was called off early this morning when it was revealed some Gunners players had met Olympiacos owner Evangelos Marinakis when the sides played in the Europa League a few weeks ago.

Marinakis has contracted coronavirus and some Arsenal players have self-isolated. The Olympiacos vs Wolves tie on Thursday goes ahead despite complaints from the English side.

Get a risk-free bet on MrFixit's Double

Instead of overs at City I'll go with both to score at Borussia Monchengladbach vs Cologne in the Bundesliga. Goals looks based on the form of both sides but not h2h.

There's one game in the Scottish Premiership with the bottom two meeting. St Mirren are three points ahead of Hearts and it looks a must not lose for the Tynecastle side.

Hearts followed wins against Rangers and Hibs with a draw at Motherwell but may struggle with the favourites' tag.

A draw is the most likely result but I'm on St Mirren draw no bet at 21-20 with McBookie as they have more experience in these type of tight battles.

Not much else on the go so I'm doing a treble on Liverpool to qualify, over 2.5 match goals at the Etihad and St Mirren not to lose.

Well done to all the winners on Tuesday including Scott with his members bet double, Greg with Dundee to beat Ayr and SlipsTips and kevinmac who both had winners on their match previews.

I'll post a Europa League preview later but can't resist Bayer Leverkusen to win at Rangers as a Super Single at 23-20.

    Weds tips
With the Man City game being off my focus is probably just gonna be on one game today for the main bets, (had city 3+ fh corners in a double with Liverpool -2 corners as the NB) and that will be Liverpool v athletico. Can’t see this being anything other than attack v defence unless Liverpool score 2 early goals, and having read simeones comments yesterday it’s clear that the Spaniards are here to defend that 1 goal lead and nothing else. “It’s been 8 years, there will be no surprises in how we play” This leads me to 2 conclusions- there will be cards and corners. Atleti will sit deep defend the 18 yard box and use everything within the laws of the game (and some without) to stop Liverpool. Tactical fouls, time wasting and a few more of the “dark arts” will all be on display unless Liverpool score early doors. With this in mind it’s 2 betbuilders for me.

Hull at home to Charlton at the weekend. If Hull win they go 5 points clear, if they loose they are probably doomed. With 9 matches left 4 are against possible play off teams, 4 against fellow strugglers who I think should be beating Hull and Birmingham in no mans land, I class Charlton as the weakest link in the bet so it’s make your mind up time

    • old al 3 weeks ago

Input from a Charlton or Hull fan would be handy.

    • Mr Fixit 3 weeks ago

It depends on how quickly and how much the virus progresses. I think they’ll do everything possible to finish the season but many games could be behind closed doors.

Macca av thought that for ages and this is the icing on the cake. There will be no euro footy in the summer and Olympics will be cancelled to . It would be a nitemare if they took the league title away from Liverpool.

Its gonna happen Alex, liverpool will only win the club world cup. Always next year mate. No medal for Gerrard either

    • sean567 3 weeks ago

Absolutely no way they will take the league off Liverpool. If it got cancelled they would just declare a winner after a certain amount of games.

    • maccathered 3 weeks ago

Liverpool would be declared the winner in the event of the league being cancelled, pretty sure they will have it wrapped up anyway before anything is decided.

    Hey lads,

Quick one – I often see Mr. F. (And others) post a “money back 5-fold” on Ladbrokes. My question is how do these people get this? Literally never seen it myself, excuse my ignorance please.

    Cheers

    • sean567 3 weeks ago

There’s nothing “to get”. You just place a 5 fold acca with ladbrokes and if you get 1 wrong you get your stake back as a free bet. Markets include wdw, match goals, btts, result/btts and correct score. Do not take the boost as this voids the moneyback aspect.

    • sean567 3 weeks ago

      Max stake is £10

    • UltimatePuz 3 weeks ago

Thanks Sean. Guess I misunderstood the meaning behind acca insurance

    • ChrisBax 3 weeks ago

Sean567, as far as I’m aware, you CAN take the boost without voiding the “money back 5-fold” (I regularly do over 1.5 goals boosted ACCAs on French League 2 etc with Ladbrokes, and always get a free bet when one leg is down)

In fact, I had 2 free bets from boosted ACCAs last week alone.

      HTH :)

    • sean567 3 weeks ago

Oh right cheers Chris they never used to allow it, must have relaxed that. Good to know 👍🏻

    Liverpool now play extra time.
This gives athletico an extra 30 minutes to score an away goal.

To make it fair they should then all catch a flight to Spain and play 30 there to even it up 🤔🤔

    • newts68 3 weeks ago

I’m a Man United fan so no bias here.
Away goals should be scrapped after 90 minutes. It was same in Caraboo Cup semi its boll***s

Said it last week when arsenal went out. It’s unfair regardless that the home team has advantage of second leg at home or not. Your giving 1 team 90 mins to get an away goal and 1 team 120. How’s that fair.

    PSG V B Dortmund
    Under 4.5 cards Evens NAP❌
How many cards are given by a referee when he’s 50/50 and he swayed by the reaction of the crowd?
I just think with it being played behind closed doors it will make for a low card count
Late red card scuppered the bet 👎👎👎

Not a great price but Atletico Madrid to qualify at 8/11✅
Atletico score(which they will) and Liverpool need 3 which they won’t manage against the masters of defending. Not scoring an away goal in this completion generally comes back to bite you on the bum. I know Liverpool overcame Barcelona last year but this is a different kettle of fish.
    GL with all bets
    👍👍👍

What will happen with the matches some being played with a home crowd but next week play at home with no crowd will that possibly impact results also.

    • newts68 3 weeks ago

It certainly takes away home advantage

    • sean567 3 weeks ago

Happening tomorrow at ibrox. Don’t think that will save rangers tho.

    • heisenberg 3 weeks ago

It’s making me think twice about betting on games to be honest.

    • Mr Fixit 3 weeks ago

It doesn’t seem fair and Bayer Bosz has said this today but it’s better to have one game with fans than none.
Probably next weekend we won’t have any big games with supporters.

Team to avoid on bets are Liverpool , they have been absolutely awful ever since macca the scouse tried to compare them with the prem greats of the recent past ie: Man Uniteds treble winning kings and Arsenals untouchables, look like a side crying out for a bit of the management knowhow that Ole brings or the finishing prowess of an Ighalo.

    • newts68 3 weeks ago

Couldn’t agree more Sean Ireland getting a bit carried away with themselves as usual…. Not won a title for 30 years and all of a sudden it’s the greatest team the PREM as seen
Things change in the blink of an eye in football.

    • El Gooner 3 weeks ago

      Well said Sean.
This Liverpool side wouldn’t match either of those 2 sides.

    • Mr Fixit 3 weeks ago

It’s a ridiculous comment and I’m sure macca will have a response.
Liverpool were the better team tonight and the difference was the keepers – one very good and one making a bad mistake.

    • newts68 3 weeks ago

Think it’s just a bit of banter Mr F. A bit of a dig at Macca as he’s constantly telling us what a great side they are and how the race for the top champion league will be interesting between Wolves, Leicester, Sheff United etc. etc. every team in the top ten excluding Man United in with a chance.
Now that was a ridiculous statement

    • Mr Fixit 3 weeks ago

I know but it’s pretty unfair. Liverpool were really unlucky not to win in 90 minutes.

    • El Gooner 3 weeks ago

      Newts is spot on mrF.
Haven’t won a premier league title for 30years but somehow they’re the greatest team to grace the earth yet out of all cup comps and beaten in the league.

    • Mr Fixit 3 weeks ago

I was more thinking about tonight’s game. And when you look at the present they’ll be champions so give him his moment – he’s waited long enough.

  70. sean567 3 weeks ago

No joy at Anfield tonight, poor finishing and couple of poor referee decisions let’s down the NAP and NB. Well done all winners

  71. Johan14 3 weeks ago

Well, that’s now both of last year’s champions league finalist out.

  72. El Gooner 3 weeks ago

Klopp sounding as gracious as ever. 😂

    • sean567 3 weeks ago

There’s a video going about of him telling his own fans to “put your f**king hands away you idiots” as he walks out the tunnel and folk are wanting a high 5 😂😂😂 The corona fear

    • El Gooner 3 weeks ago

      😂😂😂😂😂

    • jos 3 weeks ago

Yip. Sore losers. Just been the “very best” of a mediocre bunch to win the league this season. That’s not a dig at their performances, but, they have played other teams that are, well, crap mostly. And I wish people would stop glorifying it as the best league in the world.

    • Mr Fixit 3 weeks ago

You can only beat what’s put in front of you. It’s the richest league but not the best.

  73. Alves 3 weeks ago

Olimpia Ascunsion v Defensa y Justicia 00.30 KO

    10+ corners EVENS NAP
1+ corner each team each half 4/6 NB
    4+ corners each team 11/8
