Wilfried Nancy will look to claim his first success as Celtic manager as they face a potentially tricky trip to Tannadice to take on Dundee United on Wednesday night.
Wilfried Nancy has made a disastrous start as Celtic boss, with the Frenchman becoming the first-ever Celtic manager to lose each of his first three games in charge.
The first of those came in a 1-2 defeat at home to Hearts in the Scottish Premiership two Sundays ago, meaning they head into this clash six points behind the Jambos, albeit with two games in charge.
Since then, the Hoops have also lost 0-3 at home to Roma in the Europa League, before being deservedly beaten 3-1 by St Mirren in the League Cup final at Hampden on Sunday.
Dundee United don’t exactly come into this clash in great form either, with Jim Goodwin’s side winless in each of their previous seven Premiership outings.
However, three of their last four and four of their past six have been draws, and the Tangerines have lost just one of their previous five in front of their supporters (W1-D3-L1).

Celtic have been a shambles defensively since Wilfried Nancy has taken charge, with the ex-Columbus Crew head coach seeing his new side ship eight goals across his opening three matches, and I don’t see them keeping a clean sheet here.
Dundee United have already played out a pair of 2-2 draws with Rangers – including one at Tannadice just two weeks ago – as well as a five-goal thriller with leaders Hearts at home in August, and a 1-1 draw at Tynecastle last month.
Given the defensive vulnerabilities on show for both clubs at the moment, I’m expecting a high-scoring encounter at Tannadice on Wednesday night, with both teams contributing.
