After making it back-to-back winners in Houston on Saturday, Monday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the Irish top flight, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.

Two clubs separated only by four points in the Irish Premier Division meet at Tolka Park on Monday evening as fifth-placed Shelbourne hosts fourth-placed Bohemians in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Ex-Bolton Wanderers and West Ham United defender, Joey O’Brien has seen his side score 31 goals across their opening 21 matches in the LOI Premier Division this term, with 16 (52%) of them in front of their supporters.
The Reds have blanked just three times in the league this season – scoring on multiple occasions in 12 (57%) of them – and will be confident of breaching a Bohs’ defence that is without a clean sheet in each of their past 13 league clashes, shipping 2+ goals in four of their past five.
Alan Reynolds’ visitors have scored 33 goals across their opening 22 matches in the Irish top flight, with 19 (58%) of them coming on their travels.
The Bohs have only failed to score just twice since the opening day of the season – scoring 2+ goals in five of their last eight – and will be confident of getting on the scoresheet again against a Shelbourne backline that has kept just two clean sheets at home this season and only five across all venues.

Shelbourne are the Both Teams to Score kings so far this season in the Irish top flight, with 16/21 (76%) of their clashes producing goals at both ends, including in 9/11 (82%) of their home matches.
After seeing just 14 goals scored across their opening nine league outings this season, The Bohs’ next 13 have averaged 3.54 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score paying out in all 13 (100%) of them.
These two sides shared four goals when they last played each other at Dalymount Park at the beginning of last month, and I’m expecting a similarly high-scoring encounter at Tolka Park on Monday evening.
