Two clubs separated only by two points in the Swedish Superettan table meet at Rimmersvallen on Saturday afternoon as fifth-placed Oddevold host third-placed Ostersunds in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Rikard Nilsson’s hosts are the joint-highest scorers in the Superettan this term, firing in 18 goals across their opening eight matches, with eight (44%) of them coming in front of their supporters.
The Uddevalla-based outfit have made the net bulge in each of their opening eight league outings this season, notching on multiple occasions in five (63%) of them – including in three of their past four – and will to continue their good run of form in front of goal against an Ostersunds defence that has yet to keep a clean sheet in the league this season, shipping 12 goals.
Nemanja Miljanovic’s visitors have scored 15 goals across their opening eight clashes in the Swedish second tier this term, with seven (47%) of them coming on their travels.
The Falcons have blanked just once in the league this season – scoring 2+ goals in each of their previous four – and will be confident of continuing their good run of form in front of goal against an Oddevold backline that has also yet to keep a clean sheet this season, conceding on 15 occasions.
