Barcelona will look to strengthen their position at the top of the La Liga table on Wednesday night as they welcome European-hopefuls Celta Vigo to the Camp Nou in what promises to be an entertaining encounter.
Hansi Flick’s hosts have fired in a league-high 81 goals across their opening 84 La Liga fixtures this campaign, with 51 (61%) of them coming in front of their supporters.
The Blaugrana have found the back of the net in all 31 of their La Liga contests this term, firing in 2+ goals in 24 (77%) of them – including in 15/16 (94%) of them on home soil – and will be expected to add to their impressive goal-tally against a Celta defence that has kept a solitary shutout across their last nine league outings, shipping 17 goals.
Claudio Giraldez’s visitors have scored 44 goals across their opening 31 La Liga encounters this term, with 21 (48%) of them coming on their travels.
Os Celestes have failed to score just five times in the Spanish top flight this season and just twice on their travels – scoring on multiple occasions in three of their past four road trips – and will look to trouble a Barca backline that has conceded in three of their past four La Liga fixtures in front of their supporters.

Celta’s opening 31 La Liga fixtures this season have averaged 2.71 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score banking in 20 (65%) of them – including in each of their last four away from home – whilst five of their past six and nine of their previous 12 have gone Over 2.5 Goals.
What’s more, this fixture tends to produce goals, with the past 13 meetings averaging a whopping 4.15 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals landing in 12 (92%) of them, whilst 11 (85%) have produced goals at both ends – including each of the past six (1-2, 3-2, 2-1, 2-2, 4-3 & 4-2) – and another high-scorer looks likely in Catalonia on Wednesday.
