After returning to winning ways in Spain on Sunday, Tuesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me turn my attention to the Premier League, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.

Two clubs in contrasting form in the Premier League meetings with at the AMEX on Tuesday night as in-form Brighton play host to struggling Chelsea in a fixture that I’m keen to get the hosts on side.
Brighton saw their three-match winning run in the Premier League come to an end on Saturday night, but they scored deep into stoppage time to rescue a point away to relegation-threatened Tottenham Hotspur.
Fabian Hurzeler’s hosts have now picked up 16 points from the last 21 on offer (W5-D1-L1) – only suffering a defeat in that run against leaders Arsenal – moving them up to ninth position in the table, just a point behind their visitors.
Chelsea’s poor run of form continued at the weekend, as they fell to a 0-1 defeat at home to Manchester United – on an evening I landed a 10/11 winner.
Liam Rosenior’s hosts have now won just one of their previous eight Premier League outings, losing five of their past six, leaving them seven points behind fifth-placed Liverpool and just three clear of West London rivals Fulham in 12th.

As alluded to, these two clubs come into this clash in contrasting form, and you’ve got to fancy the in-form hosts to inflict more pain on a Chelsea side that has struggled badly over the past couple of months.
What’s more, the Seagulls have been victorious in each of their previous three meetings with the Blues – scoring 2+ goals in each of the last four – and I’m backing that trend to continue at the AMEX on Tuesday night.
