After recording a third consecutive winner at Barnsley on Tuesday, Wednesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the exciting title race in the Scottish Premiership, and I’ve highlighted a selection involving one of the sides in it.
⚽️ Aberdeen vs Celtic
🏴 Premiership
⏰ Wednesday 4 February, 20:00
Celtic will look to keep the pressure on Premiership leaders Hearts on Wednesday night as they travel to Pittodrie to take on struggling Aberdeen.
Celtic took advantage of Rangers dropping points at Easter Road an hour earlier on Sunday, as the Hoops recorded a comfortable 2-0 win over Falkirk at Celtic Park to move up into second spot in the table, but remain six points behind leaders Hearts.
Martin O’Neill has won W8-D1-L0 of his Premiership matches in charge of Celtic over both spells this season, only dropping points in that 2-2 draw away at leaders Hearts the Sunday before last.
Manager-less Aberdeen suffered an extremely disappointing 3-0 defeat at Rugby Park on Saturday against a Kilmarnock side that was previously winless in each of their previous 16 league matches.
The Dons have now lost five of their last six and six of their past eight Premiership outings (W1-D1-L6), with their solitary success in that run coming against rock-bottom Livingston, leaving them in seventh position, five points outside the top six.

Bet of the Day
As alluded to, Martin O’Neill has won eight of his nine Premiership matches in charge of Celtic this season (W8-D1-L0), with all eight of those victories featuring fewer than five goals.
What’s more, all 12 of the Dons’ defeats in the Premiership have also produced fewer than five goals, including back-to-back 0-2 defeats against Rangers last month, as well as 0-2 and 3-1 defeats against the Hoops.
The Dons also have an embarrassingly poor record against Celtic in the Premiership, as they have failed to win any of their last 27 league meetings with the Hoops (W0-D7-L20) – with their previous victory at Pittodrie in February 2016 – and it’s hard to see that record changing on Wednesday night.
