Entertainment looks likely at Subaru Park on Wednesday evening as resurgent Philadelphia Union entertain Inter Miami in another all-Eastern Conference clash.
Ryan Richter’s visitors have scored 28 goals across their opening 19 encounters in the MLS this campaign, with 19 (68%) of them coming across their last eight matches.
The Union have found the back of the net in each of their past eight MLS encounters – remarkably scoring 3+ in five of their past seven – and will be confident of continuing their scintillating form in front of goal against a Miami backline that has kept just four clean sheets in the MLS this season, shipping 2+ goals in 11 of their most recent 15.
Guillermo Hoyes’ star-studded visitors are the joint-highest scorers in the entire MLS this term, firing in 46 goals across their opening 19 matches, with 25 (54%) of them coming on their travels.
The Herons have made the net bulge in each of their last 15 MLS encounters – impressively scoring 2+ goals in 13 (87%) of them – and will also be expected to add to their goal tally against a Union defence that has kept just three clean sheets all season.
