After making it back-to-back winners over the weekend in La Liga on Sunday, Tuesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the second legs of the Champions League last-16 ties, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.

Sporting will look to overturn a three-goal deficit as they welcome Bodo/Glimt to the Jose Alvalade on Tuesday night in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie.
Rui Borges’s visitors have scored 17 goals across their opening eight matches in the Champions League this season, with 11 (65%) of those coming on home soil.
The Leoes have found the back of the net in eight of their opening nine continental clashes this term – striking two or more goals in all four (100%) at their Lisbon base – and will look to continue that trend against a Bodo backline that has kept a solitary clean sheet across their previous 12 Champions League proper matches this season.
Kjetil Knutsen’s hosts have scored 28 goals across their opening 13 Champions League matches this campaign, with 10 (36%) of them coming away from their Arctic Circle base.
Glimt have found the back of the net in all but one of those 13 matches, notching on multiple occasions in an impressive 10 (77%) of them – including in each of their last seven – and will look to continue their extraordinary goal-scoring form against a Sporting backline that has recorded a solitary shutout in the Champions League this season.

This match already looked set to be an open encounter, but even more so given the game state, with Sporting looking to overturn a three-goal deficit, which should lead to a high-scoring encounter.
Sporting’s opening nine matches in the Champions League this season have averaged an impressive 3.44 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals landing in eight (89%) of them – including in all four on home soil (4-1, 2-1, 3-0 & 2-1 – whilst seven (78%) have produced goals at both ends.
