Tuesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on Euro 2024 Last 16 clash in Leipzig between Austria and Türkiye and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection that appeals to me.

Pre-tournament dark horses Austria take on Türkiye in Leipzig in the last 16 of Euro 2024 tomorrow evening in what promises to be an entertaining and highly competitive clash.
Austria began their campaign with a 1-0 loss against reigning champions France, but since then have gone from strength to strength.
Ralf Rangnick’s men went on to defeat Poland 1-3, before defeating the Dutch 3-2 in what is one of the games of the tournament so far.
With France surprisingly dropping points late on to draw 1-1 with Poland in their final group match, Austria’s late victory over the Netherlands was enough to see Das Team top the group.
Türkiye began their Euro 2024 campaign in the perfect manner, as they defeated Georgia 3-1 in what was an entertaining encounter.
Vincenzo Montella’s men were then well-beaten in their next group match by Portugal 0-3 but sealed 2nd spot in their final group match in an ill-disciplined contest with Czechia.
Despite having a man advantage for the majority of the match, it took until stoppage-time for The Crescent Stars to seal victory, as they defeated Czechia 1-2.
Bet of the Day
Both of these nations have been involved in high-scoring games this tournament, with their six matches in Germany averaging 3.33 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals banking in five (83%) of them – and given Austria also thrashed Türkiye 6-1 in a friendly in March – I’m happy to have a punt on there being three or more goals in what is hopefully an entertaining and high-scoring encounter in Leipzig on Tuesday night.
