Saturday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the Premier League, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.
⚽️ Leeds United vs Fulham
🏴 Premier League
⏰ Saturday 17 January, 15:00
Improving Leeds United welcome mid-table Fulham to Elland Road on Saturday afternoon in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Daniel Farke’s men have scored 29 goals across their opening 21 matches since promotion back to the Premier League, with 18 (62%) of them coming in front of their supporters.
The Whites have failed to score just once at home in the Premier League this season – scoring on multiple occasions in three of their last four and in five of their past eight – and will be confident of breaching a Fulham backline whose only clean sheet away from home in the Premier League this season has come against 18th-placed West Ham United.
Marco Silva’s visitors have scored 30 goals across their opening 21 fixtures in the Premier League this campaign, with 17 (57%) of them coming across their last nine outings.
The Cottagers have failed to score in just three of their Premier League fixtures this season – notching on multiple occasions in five of their past nine – and will look to get on the scoresheet once again against a Leeds backline that has kept a solitary shutout across their previous 18 Premier League contests.

Bet of the Day
After seeing just seven goals scored across their opening four matches since promotion back to the Premier League, Leeds’s next 17 have averaged an eye-catching 3.47 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score paying out in an impressive 14 (82%) of them – including in each of their last eight at Elland Road (2-2, 1-2, 2-1, 1-2, 3-1, 3-3, 4-1 & 1-1).
Fulham’s last 11 matches in all competitions have averaged 3.45 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score paying out in nine (82%) of them – as well as in six of their past eight away from home in the Premier League and 7/10 (70%) overall.
Given the form both of these sides are in offensively, coupled with their lack of clean sheets, I think there’s a strong chance both of these teams will get on the scoresheet in Yorkshire on Saturday.
- Both Teams to Score
- Pays 10/11 (Betfred)
