Following on from Wednesday’s winner in Catalonia, Saturday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the goal-laden German third tier, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.

Two clubs separated by a solitary point in the German 3. Liga table meet at Audi Sportpark on Saturday afternoon as 11th-placed Ingolstadt entertain in-form Alemannia Aachen in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Sabrina Wittmann’s hosts have scored 49 goals across their opening 29 matches in the German third tier this campaign, with 21 (43%) of them coming in front of their supporters.
Die Schanzer have blanked in just four of their league outings this season – scoring on multiple occasions in 13 (45%) of them – and will be confident of breaching an Alemannia Aachen backline that is without a clean sheet in each of their previous 14 league contests on their travels, shipping 2+ goals in eight (57%) of them.
Mersad Selimbegovic’s visitors have scored 51 goals across their opening 29 matches in the 3. Liga this season, with a league-high 32 (63%) of them coming on their travels.
The Kartoffelkafer have found the back of the net in each of their previous 14 away contests in the German third tier – firing in 2+ goals in an impressive 10 (71%) of them – and will look to continue their extraordinary goal-scoring record away from home against an Ingolstadt defence that has kept just six clean sheets in the league this season.

Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals has been a winning selection in 13 of Alemannia Aachen’s previous 14 away matches in the German third tier – and given the same has landed in eight of Ingolstadt’s last 10 at home – I’m expecting a high-scoring encounter in Bavaria on Saturday.
