Each of these two teams boast 100% records in this season’s Champions League, with the two behemoths starting matchday four in the top-two positions in the league phase rankings.
What’s more, the pair have been scoring goals for fun on Europe’s main stage this season, with PSG hitting 13 goals, while Bayern have banged in 12 strikes to date.
Therefore, goals should flow when the two teams face off in the French capital this midweek.
The hosts brilliantly dismantled Bayer Leverkusen 7-2 on matchday three, and they have also claimed a 2-1 win away at Barcelona.
Likewise, two of Bayern Munich’s three victories in this season’s Champions League have seen both teams make the net bulge.
Benfica vs Bayer Leverkusen (Wednesday, 20:00)
Two teams situated outside the top 24 in the Champions League table will go toe-to-toe on Wednesday night, as Benfica lock horns with Bayer Leverkusen.
The Portuguese hosts have yet to put any points on the board, having lost to Qarabag, Chelsea and Newcastle.
As for Bayer Leverkusen, they have played out a pair of draws with Copenhagen and PSV before being obliterated 7-2 when hosting PSG.
As such, a draw doesn’t really suit either side on Wednesday night, which should be conducive to an entertaining encounter at the Estadio da Luz.
Moreover, both teams have got in on the act in each of the visitors' opening three continental contests of the campaign.
Meanwhile Benfica were involved in a 3-2 thriller in their previous Champions League home game when suffering a shock defeat against Qarabag.
