Champions League outright winner odds and prediction

All eyes will be on Budapest on Saturday evening as Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal contest the 2026 Champions League final.

With just two teams remaining, let’s take a closer look at the pre-match odds and where the value may lie ahead of Saturday’s showpiece.

PSG

Successfully defending the Champions League trophy is a rare feat, with only Real Madrid managing it in the modern era. PSG are now within touching distance of joining that exclusive club, and the bookmakers clearly fancy their chances, with the French giants priced up as 13/10 (bet365) favourites to win inside 90 minutes on Saturday evening.

Given the calibre of opposition Luis Enrique’s side have overcome, it is unsurprising they enter this blockbuster final as favourites. The Parisians swept aside both Chelsea and Liverpool with relative ease, before coming through a chaotic semi-final against Bayern Munich, edging it 6-5 on aggregate.

I suspect PSG will go back-to-back in Budapest, but I would rather have the safety net of extra time and penalties onside, with Enrique’s star-studded team available at 7/10 to lift the trophy with BetVictor.

Arsenal

For long stretches of the campaign, Arsenal were the bookmakers’ outright favourites to lift this season’s Champions League trophy – and with good reason. The Gunners were the only side to emerge from the league phase with a perfect record, winning all eight of their matches, and they remain unbeaten on continental duty this season, with 11 wins and three draws from 14 games.

That said, it would be fair to suggest their route to the final has been relatively favourable, seeing off Bayer Leverkusen, Sporting Lisbon and Atletico Madrid in the knockout rounds. PSG will represent a far sterner examination than anything they’ve faced in Europe this season, and that is reflected in the odds, with the newly crowned Premier League champions 9/4 outsiders with Betfair and 5/4 with Boylesports to lift the trophy.

Eight of Arsenal's 11 Champions League wins this season have come alongside a clean sheet, and a repeat in regulation time is priced at 9/2 with Boylesports.

Draw

Somewhat surprisingly, every Champions League final since 2017 has been decided in 90 minutes. If you think PSG and Arsenal can buck that trend, the stalemate is available at a best price of 12/5 with Betfred. Those odds may be worth a second look, given Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta's safety-first preferences.

If extra time is required in the Hungarian capital on Saturday evening, PSG are 10/1 with bet365 to win in that period, with Arsenal priced at 12/1.

And if it goes all the way to a nerve-shredding penalty shootout, both sides are trading at 9/1 (bet365) to triumph via spot kicks.
