Best WTA Finals betting tips for day 2
The matches for day two are Iga Swiatek against Barbora Krejcikova and the second one is between Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula.
Gauff to defeat Pegula @ 3/6
This one might surprise a few people because Coco Gauff hasn’t been very good in recent times, but we think this will be a unique match. Gauff will be motivated here, more so than Pegula in many ways, who at this time is likely the better and more complete player.
Even so, this is a tough matchup for Pegula because she will have to hit through Gauff. That’s never easy to do and we think that the younger American might find some nice solutions in the match.
Gauff has a new coach, she seems to be motivated, and she has lots to prove after a very bad conclusion to the season. Pegula has generally performed pretty okay at these events, but we think she might have a slow start here.
Overall, it’s solid value on Gauff to win the match.
Swiatek vs Krejcikova – over 18.5 games @ 3/6
This has been a tough matchup for Swiatek in the past. The last time they played earlier this year, it was a 6-4, 6-2 win for Krejcikova, but that’s not the norm. That was one of those crazy Krejcikova moments.
While it’s not impossible that the Czech player wins the match, we think it’s going to go to Swiatek. The problem is that the odds are abysmal, so we had to get creative. We settled on this over-pick mostly because Krejcikova should account for herself well in at least one of the sets.
It’s the first match for Swiatek in a while, it’s the WTA Finals, and she’s playing a player who has given her problems in the past. Should be more than enough to push the over on this line, with a slow start or a nervy finish for the Pole.
