Nine nations have already booked their place at the finals of Euro 2024 so with 15 places still up for grabs there’s still plenty to play for this international break.
Not all places will be decided in the next week because there’s still a route open via the UEFA Nations League for several countries but we’ll have a clearer picture of who the final 24 will include.
Germany (hosts), Belgium, France, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, Austria, England and Scotland can rest easy for now but the action starts tonight in Group I.
Israeli and Switzerland have a mad dash to complete all their qualification matches, each of them with three to play in the next seven days.
The pair meet in neutral Hungary tonight and a win for the Swiss will secure their place at the finals whereas an Israeli win win would throw the cat amongst the pigeons, taking them within two points of tonight’s opponents with Romania and Andorra to come.
The Swiss won the earlier meeting comfortably by three goals to nil, in a dominant display in Geneva, so will be confident of timing up qualification this evening. A victory for Murat Yakin’s side pays 1/2.
In fact you could go for a Swiss roll-over by also backing them to beat Kosovo at home on Saturday. The Kosovans will be all but out of the qualification picture should Switzerland win tonight., whilst Switzerland will still want to finish top of th table in order to improve their seeding chances.
