SCOTLAND have been left stewing since their mauling in Munich but now have the chance to make amends as they face Switzerland in their second Group A game.
The Tartan Army were in party mode ahead of the tournament opener against the hosts but the atmosphere soon fell flat as the Germans raced into a 3-0 lead by half-time.
The eventual 5-1 beating could have been even heavier and even Scotland's goal came from a German defender as Steve Clarke's players failed to get a shot on target.
The Swiss looked pretty slick as they beat Hungary 3-1 in the other group game so they will confident of racking up another win but Scotland will be fired up to make amends.
Scotland vs Switzerland Top Betting Tips
Going for cards paid off for me in the opening game and the Scots had to play with 10 men for the second half after Ryan Porteous was sent off.
His terrible challenge on Ilkay Gundogan was one of the few times Clarke's players did put the boot in as they were uncharacteristically passive.
I'd imagine Scotland will play with a lot more fire for this must-win game so that's why over 37.50 booking points is just 8/13 this time with Betfred. There's little value in that but the Scots look good value for most booking points at 11/10.
Grant Hanley should deputise for the banned Porteous and still looks a bit rusty. The Norwich stopper is 9/4 to go in the book.
Scotland have been leaking goals and the Swiss scored three times in their opener so the evens available for over 1.5 Switzerland goals looks good here.
Germany vs Hungary Top Tips
While Scotland were pitiful in Munich you have to acknowledge how good the Germans were and the hosts will be looking to book their last-16 place with another win over Hungary.
Betfred make Julian Nagelsmann's men 1/4 hot favourites and it's hard to disagree after the Hungarians turned in a disappointing display in their opener against the Swiss.
But Hungary are unbeaten in their last three outings against the Germans and could ask questions of a defence that somehow managed to conceded against the 10-man Scots.
BTTS looks decent at 10/11 and the 5/4 on offer for over 3.5 match goals also catches my eye.
Florian Wirtz was superb down the left flank in Germany's opener and is 13/8 to grab his second goal of the finals with Betfred. But the odds are better for an assist and that's priced at 12/5 at Bet365.
Croatia vs Albania Top Tips
Croatia and Albania both lost their opening fixture in the so-called Group of Death so they need a win tonight to keep their hopes alive.
That should make it a good game to watch and BTTS looks good value again at 11/10 after it came up in Albania's opener against Italy.
I backed over 2.5 Albanian shots on target that day and it looked good as they scored inside a minute. But that was the only effort they ended up getting on target so I was left frustrated.
It was Nedim Bajrami who scored the goal and he should be their biggest threat again. The winger is 2/1 here for another shot on target and that could be worth a punt.
Albania stopper Elseid Hysaj copped a bit of stick for ducking out of the way for Italy's winner on Saturday. He will want to show his commitment to the cause and is 5/2 to go in the book.
Wednesday's Football Tips: Super Singles

Over 2 first half Scottish corners 12/5 Hills
Surely Scotland will have a go tonight
They have to go for it bud, surely Gilmour will start?
No idea what the team will be mate but they have to go for a win imo .
Stick Hanley and McKenna in at centre half with Hendry and put Tierney on the right. Swap Christie for Gilmour and perhaps Shankland for Adams….my view ?

They are saying it was Mactominays goal, what planet are they on it Shar clearly.kicked it into his own net.
I know! Had all today’s games in a trixie too so I will be complaining as well if they don’t pay, skysports say mctominay, my fotmob app which is usually opta says og atm?… ?
Absolutely no chance the bookies will pay that out as an own goal. It’s a deflected shot so will be classed as the shot takers goal. Same as any other time
Flashscores says own goal
Clear own goal.imo the keeper had it covered, Charged kicked it into his own net.
Having said that. Skybet have it down as an og but 365 as mctominnay.

WINNER
Soccer 24 and bbc have og
But opta don’t….u know they gonna weasel out if it
Hope the scumbag bookies pay out on the OG for the boy that bets on them, but having watched it Mctominays strike was on target before being deflected so they will have an excuse not to pay out
Looks like 365 will argue as they have it listed as mctominnay goal. Would’ve thought the decision would come down to uefa and they have it as an og.
Fingers crossed everyone gets paid but the bookies are proper greedy and will argue anything they can
Confirmed not an og. Sorry all, that sucks
Corner double and goals treble both land , 7.5/1 and 5/1 ??
100% an own goal for me.
Hope the bookies do the decent thing and pay those on that bet.
Name and shame bookies who don’t pay out so we know who they are peeps ???????
Heard the commentator say that half way through and changed on my app too to mctominay, gutted ?
Gutted for you buddy
They always find ways of getting out of paying, tried telling me the other day I couldn’t put my winnings transferred to my card, tried fobbing me off about money laundering etc,I soon put that to bed as said did I put the money in the machine then take it out and ask to pay to my card,no it’s a bet slip, very snakey, hopefully they will see sense and pay out on an o.g
From Yahoo Sport:
“SCOTT McTominay scored Scotland’s sixth-ever goal at the Euros tournament – but BBC feed blunder had it down as an own goal.
It didn’t take Steve Clarke’s men long to go ahead in a must-win match against Switzerland this evening.
The Manchester United midfielder finished off a good move from Scotland as they hit Switzerland on the counterattack, led by captain and Liverpool star Andrew Robertson.
McTominay arrived at the top of the box and saw his deflected shot soar into the top left corner of the net after just 13 minutes of play.
Schar managed to get a foot to the ball, but it was to no avail.
Thousands of Tartan Army fans were ecstatic to go 1-0 ahead against the Swiss and believed it was McTominay who came to the country’s aid once again.
However, the BBC credited the goal as an own goal against Fabian Schar instead. Even the commentors Liam McLeod and Neil McCann were confused at how the goal wasn’t awarded to McTominay.
Presenter Gabby Logan also echoed that the game opener was an own goal by Schar.
But UEFA have officially ruled it as a McTominay goal.”
