The UFC returns this weekend with a pay-per-view event at the Sphere venue in Las Vegas.

The stacked fight card features two highly anticipated title bouts, with O'Malley defending his title against Dvalishvili in the main event.

It's been a while since I've posted any UFC tips, and I do apologize for the lack of activity.

This time around, I will put together a short preview of the main event, which you can find below.

However, I will include all my selections at the bottom of the article for those who wish to follow me.

UFC Bantamweight Championship: Sean O’Malley vs Merab Dvalishvili preview

I'm looking forward to this main event, which promises to be a tactical and action-packed fight with these two fighters bringing completely different fighting techniques to the table.

Firstly, I've been a huge supporter of O'Malley and have followed him since he earned his spot in the UFC with a win on Dana White’s Contender Series.

O'Malley wasted no time in making his way through the 135lb division and arrives here as the defending champion after securing UFC gold last year with a KO win over Aljamain Sterling.

O'Malley will face his most formidable task yet in Georgia's Dvalishvili, and there are no two ways about it: O'Malley must be on his A-game if he is to retain UFC gold, as Dvalishvili's relentless pace and effortless takedowns will pose a serious threat to the champion.

Dvalishvili's stamina is among the best in the sport, in my opinion, and I worry that if Merab wrestles for the duration of this fight, we could end up watching a 25-minute bore fest.

That said, Suga Show's striking is up there with the best in the business, and as we've seen on many occasions before, it only takes one.

Key Points

O'Malley's game plan is pretty simple, get in, KO, and get out and If he's to retain his title this time around ,then that's exactly what he will need to do.

Notably, Merab doesn't tend to finish fights, with only four of his seventeen wins coming within the distance. I think a lot depends on O'Malley's takedown defence. If he can keep this fight on the feet, he has every chance of KO'ing Merab.

Given that Merab isn't known for his finishing ability, O'Malley will have a minimum of five chances of doing so at the start of each round, given they go the distance, of course.

Sean O'Malley vs Merab Dvalishvili: Who wins?

Sometimes, in this game, you have to go with your head rather than your heart, and as much as I'd love to watch O'Malley KO Merab within one round, I can't see it happening.

It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if we hear boo's ring outcome at the end of this fight due to Merab wrestling for 25 minutes, and that's exactly how I anticipate this fight to go.

Prediction: Dvalishvili to win via decision 33/20 Bet365

Hi mate, didn’t you did the UFC tips too! Great stuff :)
I like the Grasso line but might fade the Merab pick, he has a cut and rumours of staph – meaning his key asset (engine) might be gone.
Don’t like Chiwiwis odds at 1/10 but he is solid for the W.
Nice write up mate and great to see UFC picks here – enjoy if you stay up to watch ;)

Cant believe am seeing a 1/10 shot tipped imagine if that downs the acca for next to nothing 🤦‍♂️

Similar to boxing deb, the odds in UFC can be short at times. Landing a double odd acca can be hard. Going 3/5 shorter odds at larger stakes is how I normally bet on the sport. The 1/10 shot was never in doubt 🤪 the others are yet to fight though 🤣
