The post-US Open week is not known for featuring the best tennis. However, there is still tennis being played, so for those who love a cheeky bet, here are the best tennis tips for Tuesday, September 10th, 2024. We’re going to take a closer look at the WTA Tour with a few solid predictions for you.
Best tennis tips and predictions today
We have a couple of very interesting bets for you, as we will bet on some games' totals. There are one under and two overs, so check it out below.
Mertens vs Zakharova – under 19.5 games @ 5/6
Elise Mertens has quietly had a decent year, with impressive performances against really good players. She’s generally always been a player who easily deals with lower-ranked players, beating them in straight sets regularly.
She’s also a two-time champion in Monastir, demonstrating a lot of comfort whenever she finds herself on the courts there. In her first match in 2024, she’s facing a solid player whom she should beat rather easily.
We’re predicting her to keep this a rather simple straight-sets win, which should fall under 19.5 games. WIth a 5/6 payout, it’s decent value, considering her closest match last year at the event featured 17 games.
Rakhimova vs Krunic – over 19.5 games @ 5/6
Kamilla Rakhimova just won an event in Guadalajara, but if there is one rule in tennis, it’s that champions generally struggle a week after winning a trophy.
We expect that trend to continue, especially against Krunic, who has played in Mexico often and enjoys these conditions.
The Serbian has also caused Rakhimova many problems in their previous matches, so while it’s not impossible for the Russian to win again, it’s likely going to go three sets, which will overshadow this line.
It’s just a value play backing some old-age trends in tennis.
Kartal vs Cristian – over 19.5 games @ 5/6
This is a really interesting matchup where Kartal is favoured against Cristian. We’re not sure we agree with that because the Romanian is a better ball striker and should have the upper hand in most rallies.
She’s also generally a very tricky player to beat, and while Kartal has had a tremendous year judging by her score, most of those wins were against ITF opposition.
Cristian is a good level above that, but she’s also quite inconsistent and drops sets often. So we’re going to back a close match here where both players win at least a set.
We’re not choosing sides in this coin-flip matchup but backing a three-set match like it happened the last time they played.
There are our best tips for Tuesday, September 10th. They’re based on matchups and trends, so happy betting.
