Tuesday’s football tips: England star Bellingham 3/1 for an assist in World Cup clash with Ghana

England looked pretty slick in their World Cup opener and they should book a place in the last 32 with another win over Ghana tonight.

Thomas Tuchel's side beat Croatia 4-2 to seize control of Group L and their second-half display hinted that they could be potential winners of the tournament.

I'm still not convinced England's defence is good enough to go all the way but the Three Lions should have too much firepower for Ghana tonight.

England vs Ghana top betting tips

Ghana needed a stoppage-time goal to edge past Panama in their opener and didn't look all that impressive.

So it's no surprise to see England as Bet365's 1/5 hot favourites tonight, with the Black Stars 12/1 rank outsiders.

I'm sure I wasn't the only punter who cashed in by backing Harry Kane for a goal against Croatia at odds-against.

The bookies sadly haven't made the same mistake tonight as the Bayern Munich star is just 8/11 to score but backing him to net first boosts the odds to 11/4.

The other English star who stood out on matchday one was Jude Bellingham and I like the 3/1 on offer at Bet365 for the Real Madrid playmaker to have an assist tonight.

Portugal vs Uzbekistan

Portugal have been one of the big disappointments so far at this World Cup and they need to bounce back this evening with a win over Uzbekistan in Group K.

Roberto Martinez's men managed a single effort on target in their opener with DR Congo and were lucky it went into the net in a 1-1 draw.

They struggled to turn possession into chances and plenty of pundits ripped into Cristiano Ronaldo after the 41-year-old's laboured performance up front.

It will be interesting to see if Martinez is brave enough to drop him tonight but he needs to do something different after such a limp opening.

Uzbekistan will probably set up to frustrate so I'm going to combine a Portugal win with under 3.5 goals at 20/21 with Bet365.

Nuno Mendes is always a threat bursting forward from left-back and the PSG star is 4/1 for an assist, which looks worth looking up on the top World Cup betting apps.

Panama vs Croatia

Croatia have reached the semi-finals at least at the last two World Cups but a repeat this summer looks highly unlikely based on their performance against England.

Zlatko Dalic's men were lucky to lose by just a two-goal margin and it looks like a campaign too far for veterans Luka Modric and Ivan Perisic.

They will still be confident of getting enough points off Panama and Ghana to reach the last 32 but tonight's clash looks like a must-win.

Panama put up strong resistance against Ghana before shipping a late goal so this could be a tricky one for a Croatian side lacking punch in attack.

Under 2.5 goals pays evens at Bet365 and that looks worth a punt while backing most goals to come after the break is a bit bigger at 11/10.

Martin Baturina was the one player who impressed for Croatia against England and the playmaker is 6/5 with Bet365 to score or assist.
