Wednesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the World Cup, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.

In the battle for top spot in Group B, co-hosts Canada take on Switzerland in Vancouver on Wednesday evening in a match that could provide goals.
Switzerland fluffed their lines in their group opener, as despite dominating the whole match, they conceded an own goal in stoppage time to draw 1-1 against a poor Qatar side.
However, Murat Yakin’s men bounced back last Thursday, as they defeated Bosnia 4-1 in a game that saw a flurry of goals in the last 20 minutes or so.
Canada also opened up Group B with a 1-1 draw, as they came from behind to rescue a late point thanks to a strike from Cyle Larin in what was an impressive display.
Jesse Marsch’s men would go on to put on an even better performance on MD2 and claim their maiden win at the World Cup finals as they thrashed Qatar 6-0 in a game that saw the visitors end the game with nine men.
That result means The Canucks need just a point to seal top spot in Group B due to a better goal difference, but Switzerland will leapfrog them should they claim all three points.

Bet of the Day
With top spot on the line for both of these nations and a much easier path in the knockout stages, I’m expecting an open encounter in Vancouver on Wednesday night.
Both Teams to Score has paid out in seven of Switzerland’s previous eight matches – including in both matches in Group B – and that trend looks likely to continue against a Canada side that has fired in seven goals across their opening two matches in the tournament.
