FOUR days of high drama are all but guaranteed when the 87th Masters Tournament tees-off today at Augusta National.
Scottie Scheffler (7/1) will be bidding to become just the fourth player to retain the Masters title following his 2022 success. One player who has managed that feat is Tiger Woods (66/1) and he'll be aiming to make the cut for a record-equalling 23rd consecutive time.
Rory McIlroy (7/1) will be eyeing the green jacket which would complete his majors collection.
And of course there's the added sub-plot of the particpating LIV Tour players. Will one of those upset the apple cart by donning the green jacket come Sunday evening? Former Masters champions Dustin Johnson (25/1), Patrick Reed (66/1), Phil Mickelson (250/1) and Sergio Garcia (150/1) are among those in action this week.

On the football front there's little happening on Thursday but a sell-out crowd will be at Wembley for the CONMEBOL-UEFA Women's Champions Cup Finalissima in a match that pits Euro 2022 winners England against Copa América Femenina 2022 winners Brazil.
The showpiece event will be the fourth meeting between the two nations in the women's game. England have won two previous clashes and Brazil the other.
The bookies make England's women short favourites at 3/10 whilst the Brazilians are 13/2.

I said last week Salford were the best team in the division currently
( performance based), and nothing has changed since then. They have a tricky game against the league leaders on Friday which tempted me to back the Salford win at 6/4 but this bet stands out more and is worth waiting for. They have almost a fully fit squad which will help massively between the short turn around of playing Friday and Monday. Odds will be more around the evens mark by kick off time I guarantee. I’d be surprised if the 11/8 lasts the day.

I’ll be amazed if Man Utd finish in the top four with that goal difference. If they do then it shows what a really poor season it has been.
All you have to do macca is look at the table and who’s behind us and games played , even if we have a bang average end to the season it’s very unlikely anyones catching us , the teams chasing are in shocking form apart from Brighton and i think it will be a touch too far for them.
Man.U. finish top 4 comfy at 2/7 is good odds if you dub it with Newcastle you get 0.7/1 . Some heavy hitters will be on this !

Spurs are the only team in pursuit that will realistically challenge United for 4th. Liverpool,Villa & Brighton wont catch united now.
Liverpool are honkin and have an aged squad in decline,Brighton are punching above their weight already and wont finish top 4 and Villa dropped too many points before Slippy G was punted too have any realistic chance of top 4
10 games to play, Brighton could well catch them they are playing some good football, it doesn’t matter if they are punching above their weight, Man Utd have the waffa cup and f.a cup to deal with and they can’t rotate to the same level, it’s going to be an interesting run in top and bottom.
United have a far easier last 10 games than Brighton do and they will prioritise 4th place over the FA Cup. Europe will take care of itself.
Brighton have 3 away days in London at Spurs,Chelsea & Arsenal plus an away day at Villa still to come. They also have City & United visiting their turf and thats a helluva 6 games from 11 remaining for any club
United dont play any of City,Arsenal or Liverpool in the remaining fixtures.
Personally id love too see Brighton get in the top 4 and reward their fine upturn in recent years,it’ll also alleviate some of that debt they have accrued in loans from the owner. Think its somewhere north of £300m the last time it was revealed.
