Brighton and Hove Albion are back in Europe and the bookies make them heavy favourites away to Tromso in the UEFA Conference League play-offs tonight.
An eighth-placed finish in the Premier League saw the Seagulls bag the final English spot in Europe as they pipped Brentford on goal difference.
Young coach Fabian Hurzeler will be looking to boost his reputation by making a push for Conference League glory and it would be a surprise if they slipped up in Norway.
Tromso vs Brighton and Hove Albion top betting tips
Premier League clubs have dominated the Conference League in recent seasons, with Chelsea and Crystal Palace winning the last two tournaments and West Ham lifting the trophy in 2023.
So it's no surprise to see Brighton as 1/12 hot favourites to reach the group phase, with Tromso 7/1 outsiders in the same market.
Even a Seagulls win in Norway offers little value at 8/15 with Bet365, although you can boost the odds to 13/10 by backing them to be winning at half-time and full-time.
Tromso scored seven times across two legs in the last round against Cluj so that suggests they might get a bit of joy tonight. Combining BTTS with over 2.5 goals pays 5/4 with Bet365.
Motherwell vs Freiburg
Motherwell have made a storming start to the season under new boss Alfred Johansson but now face a huge step up in class with a Conference League play-off against Freiburg.
The German side reached the Europa League Final last term so it's hard to see the Steelmen causing a shock by dumping them out.
Bet365 make Freiburg 1/16 jollies to qualify and even a win at Fir Park is tiny at 19/50. That makes it hard finding value but backing the Bundesliga side to score in both halves pays 11/10.
It's not in Johansson's style to park the bus so this should be a decent watch. Motherwell will have a go and over four first-half corners is priced at 10/11.
Rangers vs Jablonec
Rangers have spent pretty heavily during another summer rebuild so it would be a disaster if they crashed out of the Conference League in their play-off with Jablonec.
The Ibrox board would have been budgeting for Europa League football but Gers were sent spinning out last week by Polish side Jagiellona Bialystok.
They now face a shootout with the Czech side for a place in the third-tier competition and Derek McInnes' men should be able to see Jablonec off.
McInnes got his first win on the board at the weekend with a thumping 5-1 triumph over St Mirren in the League Cup.
That will have boosted confidence and I fancy Rangers at -1 in the handicap tonight, which pays 21/20 with Bet365.
Going for Rangers corners paid off for me in that clash with the Buddies and backing them for over 6.5 flag kicks looks good again tonight at 11/10.
