The UEFA Champions League football continues tonight and Arsenal will be looking to build on the derby win over Spurs as they take on Atalanta in Italy.

With a huge Premier League clash at the Etihad looming on Sunday, Mikel Arteta might be tempted to make a few changes but he will still be determined to get the Euro campaign off to a winning start.

Atalanta won the UEFA Europa League last season but haven't started this season well after losing some of their key players.

The Serie A side have lost two of their four domestic so far but returned to winning ways at the weekend with a 3-2 win over Fiorentina.

Atalanta vs Arsenal top betting tips

Arsenal showed at the weekend how tough a team they are to break down as they shut out Tottenham and limited them to very few chances.

This clash with Atalanta is a similar kind of challenge as Gian Piero Gasperino always sets up to attack, just like Ange Postecoglou.

Three of his side's five games this term have seen four goals or more but can they break down Arteta's well-drilled defence? Betfred price under 2.5 goals at evens and that might be worth a punt while another win to nil for the Gunners is bigger at 11/5.

Some stats bets catch the eye and I like the 6/5 on offer at Bet365 for Atlanta midfielder Marten De Roon to commit over 1.5 fouls.

Declan Rice is back from a domestic ban for Arsenal and he also looks good at 6/4 to get an effort on target.

Monaco vs Barcelona top tips

Few teams have started the season better than Barcelona, who have racked up five successive wins in La Liga under new boss Hansi Flick.

They've been particularly impressive in their last two games – crushing Valladolid 7-0 then winning 4-1 on the road against a Girona side who finished third last season.

So it's no surprise to see Barca as Betfred's 8/11 favourites for a win at Monaco in their UEFA Champions League opener.

But the French side are in good form themselves, with three wins and a draw in Ligue 1, so it could pay to back goals at both ends.

Combining BTTS and over 2.5 goals only pays 8/11 so it's better going into the player markets. Barca wonderkid Lamine Yamal is 6/5 to either score or assist at Bet365 and that looks good value.

Swiss striker Breel Embolo should carry the biggest threat for Monaco and he's 5/2 to have over 1/5 shots on target.

Feyenoord vs Bayer Leverkusen top betting tips

One of the most intriguing UEFA Champions League games tonight comes in Rotterdam as Feyenoord take on Bayer Leverkusen.

The Germans were arguably the most impressive side in Europe last term as their only defeat in the whole domestic and continental campaign came in the Europa League Final against Atalanta.

Following that up was always going to be a tough task for Xabi Alonso's men and their unbeaten run in Germany ended with a 3-2 loss to RB Leipzig at the end of August.

That's the only game they've lost this term though and Betfred make them 7/10 favourites for a win in the Netherlands. Feyenoord have drawn four of their five games this term but remain unbeaten so there could be some value backing them in the double chance at 11/10 with home advantage.

Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface scored a double at the weekend and is 6/5 at Betfred for another goal tonight. Backing him to score with a header boosts the odds to 7/1.

Thursday's Football Tips: Super singles

  • Atalanta's Marten de Roon over 1.5 fouls 6/5 Bet365
  • Barca's Lamine Yamal to score or assist 6/5 Bet365
  • Feyenoord double chance 11/10 Betfred

Long shot

  • Levekusen's Victor Boniface to score a header 7/1 Bet365

There looks a possible mismatch in the AFC Champions League 2 this morning where Sanfrecce Hiroshima entertain Philippines side Kaya.

Hiroshima currently sit 2nd in the J-League and wouldn’t look out of place in the top tier of this tournament. Today they face a Kaya side who’s last foray into this level left them with 3 defeats from 3 against vastly inferior sides in 2022…

    1-2 Visakha(Cambodia) at home
    1-4 Kedah(Malaysia) away
    0-1 Bali Utd(Indonesia) at home

Really should be a routine home win and you’ll have to delve into the handicaps to find a bit of value with Hiroshima priced a best 1/16

The -2 market Hills have at 4/9 while bet365 go 1/2 on the same market,it’s 21/20 with both for -3. However Paddy Power has -2 at Evens and looks worth taking on here

Just noticed that Kaya haven’t played a match since August 22nd and that was their first since early July so they could be lacking in match sharpness

Hiroshima have rung the changes for this one, could be a rotten shout even before kick off 😐

    Skeid u19 vs Stromsgodset u19

    Treble @ 9/1 (bet365)

Have posted about Start u19 before who are often among the goals and Viking have the ability and should take a fair few off them today. Start should contribute to the total. Albeit one round here, the last double headed affair between these two seen 18 goals across the two legs.

Brann have played better teams than Sogndal recently and hammered them so I see no reason why they wouldn’t get 3 or 4 here. Sogndal used to be a team id avoid at this level but they have opened up a bit in recent months and playing Brann id expect goals, at both ends.

I would be surprised if these odds don’t drop, tend to find the closer it gets to kick off with these games the odds can go beyond what they should be, and at the moment in my opinion these odds are where they should be and fairly generous. Unlikely to make it back on the next few days so good luck over the weekend 🤞

Morning lads, has anyone had an issue with WH on last nights Celtic game where they claimed that Ralston came on as the impact sub for Kyogo?

    • ChrisBax 5 hours ago

No, but tell them to check OPTA.

Go to https://optaplayerstats.statsperform [dot] com, select yesterday’s date, click on Celtic match.

Now hover over red & green triangles on time line.

At minute 77, Ralston replaced Johnston. That’s the OFFICIAL match report.
