Tennis Prediction and Betting Tips 2024

It’s finals time on the ATP Tour, and today we have two excellent matches to bet on from Antwerp and Almaty. We’ve broken down the odds from bookmaker Betfred and outlined below where all the best value is to be found this Sunday.

Best tennis tips and predictions today

Our first tip will be backing Roberto Bautista Agut again, this time to beat Jiri Lehecka in the Antwerp final. In our second prediction, we expect the final between Karen Khachanov and Gabriel Diallo to go over the total games market.

Bautista Agut to defeat Lehecka @ 3/2

This is somewhat of a surprising final, as few expected these players to find themselves here. On one side, we have Bautista Agut, who has been in super solid form lately. On the other side, there’s Jiri Lehecka, a capable player who is slowly getting back to his best after missing a lot of time this year.

To keep it simple, Lehecka is the better player at his peak. Unfortunately for his fans, he’s not at his peak this week. Yes, he’s in the final, but Bautista Agut has been more impressive in our opinion. The court speed does seem to favour Bautista Agut over Lehecka, though it’s mostly a minor advantage.

What makes us believe that Bautista Agut will win this one is the matchup and the style. Lehecka is very aggressive and streaky. He can be quite volatile at times compared to the Spaniard, who is more stable.

Another factor is their head-to-head, which favours Bautista Agut, who leads 3-1. They’ve played two matches so far this year, and it’s 1-1, with Lehecka winning the most recent one.

However, Bautista Agut beat him indoors and won a set in that final match, so he can certainly beat him again. He also beat him indoors in another match, so overall, it just seems very likely that he can win again, and the odds are super juicy.

Khachanov vs Diallo – over 22.5 games @ 4/6

These odds aren’t as juicy, but we think it’s going to hit smoothly. There are a couple of reasons for this, mostly related to how the courts in Almaty play.

They’re not the same as in Astana, but they’re quite similar in the sense that the balls don’t bounce as high. It’s a slow court with a low bounce, creating very unique conditions.

Khachanov is used to it, as the courts in Russia are somewhat similar, so he’s played well this week. Diallo made this run mostly because his massive serve just drops after touching the court.

He’s been very hard to break this week, and we think that will simply continue in this match as well. Khachanov and Diallo have played once before, with the Russian winning 6-4, 6-4.

Khachanov didn’t really outplay Diallo massively in that one, so the matchup is likely to be close. The conditions in Astana will make it tougher, and a 7-6, 6-4 line is enough for this to hit.

We wouldn’t be shocked if it ends up 7-6, 7-6 for either player. Khachanov is favoured to win, and he likely will because he’s simply the more complete player, but Diallo can make this interesting, which is why we’re backing the over.
