Congratulations to Real Madrid, champions of Europe for an incredible 14th time following their 1-0 win over Liverpool last night.
Their win in Paris landed our 7/4 Drawn No Bet and 13/8 to Lift the Trophy tips to add to Roma's win in midweek which made made it a profitable few days in the UEFA competitions this week.
The curtain may be drawing on the 2021-22 season but there's still one more chapter to be written and that's in today's Championship play-off at Wembley where Huddersfield Town and Nottingham Forest vie for a lucrative place in next season's Premier League.
Just two points separated the sides in the Championship and both sides finished the season strongly. Arguably the Terriers were the form team, they've not tasted defeat since mid-March and are now unbeaten in nine including their succesful negotiation of a two-legged tie with Luton.
Forest survived a tense affair with Sheffield United, eventually winning on penalties after both sides traded 2-1 wins away from home.
None of which helps us decipher who'll come out on top today. It's been honours even in the last four meetings between the sides with two wins each so there's likely to be little to separate the sides in the capital this afternoon.
Forest are the bookies favourites to make a long-awaited return to the top flight at 4/7 with Huddersifeld at 11/8. In 90 minutes the Tricky Trees are 11/0 whilst the Terriers ate 11/8.
Steve Cooper's Forest side wil be poplular among the football traditionalists but it could pay to back this one to be level after 90 minutes at 23/10.
These aren't games that see many goals, they've finished 2-0, 0-0, 2-1, 1-0, 0-0, 1-0, 1-0, 0-2, 0-1 & 0-0 in the last 10 play-off finals that date back to 2016. So only one saw Over 2.5 Goals and BTTS. Under 2.5 Goals pays 8/13, Under 2.5 Goals is 2/1, while no to BTTS is 8/11.

There’s not a whole lot on today but I’ve managed to find a few that I like, starting with this Icelandic Úrvalsdeild goals double. It was a toss up which of the bets was the NAP and NB but I’ve gone with my gut.
Breidablik are absolutely flying and are banging in goals for fun. They have covered the over 2.5 goals line by themselves in 6/7 games this season and I was close to going with Breidablik to score 3+ goals at 6/5.
They go to a Leiknir side who are absolutely floundering. They’ve conceded 5 goals in two defeats to relegation rivals in recent games and sit bottom of the league. I think Breidablik will probably score 3 themselves but they do concede as well, seeing BTTS in 5/8 games this season, so Leiknir could well contribute.
On to the next game. Statistically, this game should see plenty of goals. Fram have seen BTTS in all 8 games so far this season. There’s been 35 goals in those 8 games at an average of 4.4 per game.
They welcome a Valur team looking to get back to winning ways and they’ll surely see this as a good chance to do so. Valur have seen o2.5 goals in 6/8 games this season. There’s usually goals between these 2 with 9 of the last 11 going over 2.5 goals.

I’ve placed this exact bet twice in the last 10 days and it’s landed both times. As far as I see it, as long as the bookies keep giving even money for top-of-the-table Lillestrom to win or draw and get a few corners for even money, I’ll keep taking it.
Lillestrom are having an amazing start to the season (played 9 W7 D2 L0) and that’s even more impressive when you see the teams they’ve played. They came away from Bodo with an impressive 1-1 draw, have beaten Molde away 1-2 and even though Tromsø will pose a threat at home, I’m backing Lillestrom to avoid defeat here.
Lillestrom will surely attack and get a few corners along the way. They don’t hit the high numbers away like at home but they’ve hit the 3+ corners needed for this bet in every away game this season.
Tromsø are having a mixed start to the season and even though they’ve only lost 2 of their 8 games, they’ve only won 2 as well and none of those wins have come against top sides.
Just under even money for an unbeaten side – who sit top of the league – to avoid defeat and hit just 3 corners has to be taken on in my opinion.
