The last few days have treated us to some Serie A derbies, and this will continue on Sunday, when a titanic clash between Juventus and AC Milan awaits us.
Earlier in the day, we’re in for a classic Serie B clash, taking place in the top flight for the first time, as Frosinone host Venezia. Elsewhere, Parma host Monza, whilst Sassuolo travel to Bologna.

Today’s Serie A betting tips & predictions
Frosinone vs. Venezia (2pm)
Frosinone and Venezia know each other very well from their time together in Serie B in recent years, but this will be their first-ever meeting in the top flight.
Frosinone pulled off one of the surprises of the last round when they stunned Fiorentina 3–0. Venice, meanwhile, have yet to score a goal since their return to the top flight, having lost twice in a row by 2-0. There is one long-standing problem that clearly persists – Venice have not won in 27 consecutive away matches in Serie A.
At the moment, Frosinone seem slightly better prepared, although it is difficult to draw conclusions after just a few matches. Venezia beat them twice last season in Serie B, but in my view, the home side have improved more over the summer.

Parma vs. Monza (2pm)
Two of the seven teams that suffered two defeats in the first two rounds are out in search of their first win – Parma and Monza.
Parma’s season did not just begin with two defeats in Serie A; the team have already been knocked out of the Coppa Italia, and that too by a second-tier side. Monza, on the other hand, have had some success in this regard, having knocked out Torino during the week.
This is a very tricky match, as neither team has impressed so far. However, I’m going to take a slight risk by backing Monza, who at least score goals in every match and show some promise in the final third.

Bologna vs. Sassuolo (5pm)
The new era in Bologna has got off to a start that is the exact opposite of what was hoped for, with two 1-0 defeats in the first two rounds. The positive aspect of the team’s performance is that, at least, their defensive play has improved and it is actually very difficult to score against them.
Sassuolo, meanwhile, look more dangerous than usual and, apart from their 2-1 defeat to Atalanta, they have been flawless so far this season. However, all their wins have come in front of their own fans, and they’ve managed just two wins in their last 10 away games in Serie A.
Bologna need to start scoring goals, and they need to do so straight away. Sassuolo look good going forward, but they’re still not entirely convincing at the back. To be honest, I expect this match to end 1–1, but I won’t lie – there’s a lot of risk involved.

Juventus vs. AC Milan (7:45pm)
Juventus and AC Milan are both looking to secure a third consecutive win and climb to the top of the table, but their recent head-to-head encounters suggest a draw is a distinct possibility.
Four of their last six head-to-head matches have ended in a draw, and the two fixtures last season didn’t even produce any goals. There’s certainly been a marked improvement in both teams, and defence is definitely their strong point.
For this reason, I think it’s best to avoid betting on the winner, as they’re too evenly matched. I’m expecting another tight contest with few goals.
