Today’s Ligue 1 betting tips & predictions
Le Havre vs. Toulouse (2pm)
Toulouse suffered a major setback last week, and now face a resurgent Le Havre, who have displayed their ambitions to remain in the elite.
Le Havre’s attack is nowhere near the level of the top flight, but their defensive work has helped them rise to safety. Toulouse are another example of a team with a strong defence, which makes us believe this will be a close encounter with few goal opportunities.
Toulouse have been exceptional on the road lately, winning four of their last five away games. If they succeed here, it should be by a goal or two max.
Le Havre vs. Toulouse top betting tip: Under 2.5 goals, Toulouse to win
Lorient vs. Angers (4:15pm)
Lorient’s sensational 12-match unbeaten run has propelled them to safety, although they remain in the lower half of the table.
If Les Merlus can extend their home run against Angers, they could jump to just two points below Europe. Their opponents, however, won back-to-back games, and will also be motivated to get closer to the top six.
With both sides being among the lowest-scoring sides, and this being an extremely important clash, we expect a match with fewer chances and a close result.
Lorient vs. Angers top betting tip: Under 2.5 goals
Metz vs. Auxerre (4:15pm)
Metz and Auxerre meet in the 22nd round in a desperate battle for survival. Both sides have been permanent residents of the drop zone, and need a miracle to remain in the top flight.
But while they are in a similar situation, their performances have been totally different. Metz lack in every department, while Auxerre can boast one of the better defences in the league. Their problem has been scoring goals, as they are also the lowest-scoring team in the league.
The visitors won the reverse clash, but as the only team in the league without an away win yet, we can’t imagine them winning more than a point this time.
Metz vs. Auxerre top betting tip: Draw
Lyon vs. Nice (7:45pm)
Lyon host Nice in the late highlight of Matchday 22, as the Kids aim to extend their streak to 13 wins in a row.
There are no words to describe what Lyon have achieve in the last three months. And especially at home, the Kids have won 14 of their 16 matches in all competitions this season. Meanwhile, Nice are closer to the drop zone than the top six, and happen to be the fourth-weakest visitor in the league.
Lyon’s streak will end sooner or later, but we don’t can’t see how Nice could be the team to end it.
