Read on for our expert tips and predictions for Sunday’s three matches.
Today’s Bundesliga betting tips & predictions
Werder Bremen vs. Mainz (2:30pm)
For Werder Bremen and Mainz, this is a crucial matchday, as both teams share the same goal: to avoid relegation.
Werder recorded back-to-back wins for the first time in 11 months, climbing above the relegation zone for the first time this season. Mainz, meanwhile, are on a run of four consecutive draws across all competitions, but can boast just two losses in their last 10 matches.
Werder Bremen rely heavily on their home games and have earned nearly all of their points at the Weserstadion. However, we don’t recommend betting on a win, as we expect Mainz to score at least one goal as well.

Freiburg vs. Union Berlin (4:30pm)
Freiburg’s inconsistency is keeping them from closing in on the European spots, but they have a chance to turn things around against Union Berlin, who struggle even against the weakest teams.
Freiburg have earned 25 of their 34 points this season at home, losing only once at the Europa-Park Stadion. They also average two goals per home game.
Union Berlin have lost to three teams in the bottom half of the table in their last four matches, and we expect their slump to deepen, despite their positive record against Freiburg in recent years.
Freiburg vs. Union Berlin top betting tip: Freiburg to win
Stuttgart vs. RB Leipzig (6:30pm)
Hoffenheim’s slip-up has opened the door for Stuttgart and RB Leipzig to claim third place in the standings.
The two teams’ records this season are identical, with the only difference being the two additional goals scored by Stuttgart. Defensively, they are completely even, having conceded 34 goals each.
Given the importance of the match and the history between Stuttgart and RB, we expect a high-scoring thriller. The last eight matches between them have ended with goals in both nets. The last seven have featured over three goals.
