SlipsTips’ Bet Builder Tips: Kvaratskhelia can carry the fight against Villa

SlipsTips examines the Bet Builder market ahead of PSG’s clash with Aston Villa in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Paris Saint-Germain and Aston Villa square off for a place in this year's Champions League semi-finals, starting with Wednesday night’s quarter-final first leg at the Parc des Princes.

Luis Enrique’s side saw off Liverpool to advance to the last eight, while Aston Villa got the better of Club Brugge to book a quarter-final berth.

I’ve already covered this clash in a separate match preview but I’m now going to examine the Bet Builder market. 

Over 0 PSG Goals

I’ll get the Bet Builder up and running by backing PSG to score at least once on Wednesday night. Luis Enrique’s side have been in formidable form since the tail end of last year, evidenced by the fact that they have won 25 of their last 27 matches across all competitions. Across that 27-game sequence, the French giants have only failed to fire once, which was down to Alisson Becker’s heroics in the previous round against Liverpool in the first leg.

While Villa have enjoyed a memorable run to the last eight, they have failed to keep a clean sheet in five of their last seven continental contests, which doesn’t augur well ahead of a visit to the French capital.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia 1+ Shot on Target

For the first of two player-based selections, I’m happy to back PSG’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to register a minimum of one shot on target on Wednesday night. The Georgian superstar has landed an on-target effort in each of his three starts for PSG in this season’s Champions League, racking up no fewer than four against Liverpool at the Parc des Princes.

It’s also worth noting that Kvaratskhelia has worked the opposition goalkeeper at least once in seven of the eight matches that he has started for PSG in Ligue 1 since making the move to the French capital during the January transfer window.

Youri Tielemans To Commit 1+ Foul

I’ll wrap up the Bet Builder by backing Youri Tielemans to commit a minimum of one foul. The Aston Villa midfielder is averaging a shade under one foul per 90 in this season’s Champions League, overstepping the mark at least once in four of his five outings away from Villa Park.

The Belgian international has also been a regular on the referee’s radar in the Premier League this season, averaging 1.33 fouls per game, making at least one misdemeanour in 13 of his last 14 top-flight appearances.
