SlipsTips shares a double ahead of Sunday's round of English Premier League fixtures.
Tottenham Hotspur vs Burnley (Sunday, 12:00)
Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to boost their top-four hopes with a victory against Burnley in their Premier League clash on Sunday afternoon.
Antonio Conte's side moved to within one point of fourth-placed Arsenal courtesy of a comfortable 3-0 victory over their arch-rivals on Thursday, on a night where my main North London derby tip landed.
As for Burnley, they have done well to drag themselves out of the relegation zone in recent weeks but they were brought back down to earth with a 3-1 loss at home to Aston Villa last weekend.
The Clarets now head to the capital at the worst possible time given that Tottenham have no room for error in their charge towards Champions League qualification.
Spurs have produced the majority of their best work on home turf under Conte’s tutorship and the Italian’s free-scoring side should have too much firepower for relegation-threatened Burnley.
As such, I’m more than back to Tottenham to triumph as the first part of an appetising 9/10 double with Boylesports.
West Ham United vs Manchester City (Sunday, 14:00)
Manchester City head into their penultimate fixture of the season with West Ham holding a three-point advantage over Liverpool in the Premier League standings.
Pep Guardiola’s side have hit top gear to put themselves in the driving seat in the title race, with the Citizens four points away from retaining their crown after smashing in five goals in consecutive games.
West Ham, meanwhile, bounced back from their Europa League exit with a 4-0 win at Norwich but it will be fair to say that there will be a significant step up in class here.
Whilst the Hammers still have plenty to play for, David Moyes' men tend to fall short when going up against the Premier League's elite, having fallen to defeat in each of their last six matches against teams currently housed in the top-six.
It’s also worth noting that the hosts have conceded at least one goal in 28 of their 36 league games so far so they could struggle to halt a sky blue juggernaut that is storming towards what would be a fourth title in the last five seasons.
With all this in mind, I’m more than happy to round off the aforementioned double with a Manchester City success at the London Stadium on Sunday.
