After delivering another winning combination on Wednesday night, SlipsTips shares a Bet Builder ahead of Tottenham’s clash with Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
Tottenham vs Crystal Palace (Saturday, 17:30)
Tottenham will be looking to make it three Premier League wins in a row when they host London rivals Crystal Palace on Saturday evening.
After claiming their first home win of the season with a 3-1 success against Coventry, Roberto De Zerbi’s side followed it up with a mightily impressive 2-0 victory at Stamford Bridge last weekend.
As for Crystal Palace, they have made a slow start to the season and suffered another setback with a 2-0 home defeat to Newcastle last Sunday.
I’ve already covered this clash in a separate match preview, but I’m now going to focus on a two-legged Bet Builder.
Mohammed Kudus 2+ Shots
For the first half of the double, I’m backing Mohammed Kudus to attempt two or more shots.
The Tottenham forward has long been a player who likes to pull the trigger at any sniff of an opportunity, and this season is proving no different. He’s averaging 2.22 shots per game in the Premier League this term, and he’s had two or more attempts in each of his last four outings.
There’s every reason to expect that run to continue here. The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium should have a better feeling about it than it has done in quite some time, and with Spurs expected to take the game to Palace, Kudus should have ample opportunity to get another couple of shots away.
Palace’s defensive record adds further weight to the selection, with the Eagles conceding an average of 16.88 shots per game in the Premier League this season – the second-highest tally in the division.
Mohammed Kudus To Be Fouled 1+ Time
The second and final leg of the Bet Builder also centres around Kudus, as I’m also siding with the Tottenham winger to be fouled at least once during this all-capital clash.
The Ghanaian’s willingness to take on his man, allied with his pace, means he often comes in for plenty of close attention from opposition defenders. That is reflected in his average of 2.47 fouls drawn per game in the Premier League this season.
Closer inspection shows he has been brought down at least once in each of his last six league outings, earning Spurs multiple free kicks in three of those games.
That trend looks well placed to continue here, with Kudus likely to operate in similar areas of the pitch to Crystal Palace’s Jaydee Canvot, who has committed four fouls across the Eagles’ last two top-flight road trips.
These two picks combine to form a 20/21 Bet Builder that looks good value.
