SlipsTips examines the Bet Builder market ahead of Napoli’s clash with Udinese in Serie A on Sunday night.
Napoli vs Udinese (Sunday, 19:45)
Napoli will look to get their push for the Serie A title back on track when they play host to Udinese on Sunday night.
Antonio Conte’s side saw their seven-game winning run in the Italian top flight come to an end when being held to a 1-1 draw away at Roma last weekend.
As for Udinese, they claimed their first win in six league games with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Venezia last time out.
Napoli win
Napoli will be keen to get back up and running on Sunday night, and a home game with Udinese would be a good opportunity to do exactly that. No team has won more games than Napoli (17) at this stage of the season in Serie A.
What's more, Antonio Conte’s side have been particularly efficient in front of their supporters, winning nine of their 11 league games at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, including each of their last three.
That doesn’t bode well for a Udinese side that has come away empty-handed from five of their last nine Italian top-flight road trips. Moreover, Kosta Runjaic’s team tend to come up short when they cross paths with the elite sides in the division, and all signs point towards that theme continuing in Naples on Sunday night.
Under 4.5 goals
Napoli have a real knack for getting the job done in solid rather than spectacular style, making under 4.5 goals a sensible solution for the second leg of the Bet Builder. A sizable 16 of the Blues’ 17 victories in Serie A this season have featured four goals or fewer. That 17-game sample includes each of Napoli’s nine league wins at home this season, not to mention this bet would have paid out when they defeated Udinese away from home earlier this season.
The White and Blacks have fallen to defeat 10 times in Serie A this term, with seven of those losses arriving alongside under 4.5 goals.
Romelu Lukaku Over 0.5 Shots on Target
For the third and final instalment of the Bet Builder, look for Romelu Lukaku to hit the target at least once on Sunday night. The bustling Belgian has bagged nine goals across his 21 Serie A appearances this season.
Three of those five strikes have been slammed in across Lukaku’s last five league outings, one of which was at home to Juventus.
The 31-year-old forward has registered a minimum of one on-target effort in four of his previous six outings in the Italian top flight. It’s also worth noting that Lukaku made the net bulge against Udinese in this season’s reverse fixture.
- Napoli win
- Under 5 goals
- Romelu Lukaku Over 0.5 shots on target
- Bet Builder – 1/1 (Bet 365)
