Saturdays top tips

The race for a top-five finish is getting even tighter in the Premier League and Aston Villa will be looking to boost their chances with a win over Fulham today.

Nottingham Forest's loss to Brentford on Thursday night has made things even more interesting and Villa can move level on points with both them and fifth-placed Chelsea if they win today.

But it won't be easy against a Fulham side who have European aspirations of their own and can cut the gap on Villa to just three points with a victory in the Midlands.

Aston Villa vs Fulham top betting tips

Villa head into this game on a downer after following up a last-gasp Premier League loss at Manchester City with a 3-0 hammering by Crystal Palace in the FA Cup semi-finals.

But they have won six in a row at home and battered in-form Newcastle in their last outing at Villa Park. That's why BoyleSports make them 3/5 hot favourites today but you can boost the odds to 11/10 by adding on over 1.5 goals.

Ollie Watkins should get an uninterrupted run up front with Marcus Rashford injured and the Villa striker looks good at the same odds for anytime scorer at BoyleSports.

Bristol City vs Preston North End top betting tips

The Championship is more interesting than the Premier League today as the battle for play-off places comes to a conclusion, with five teams fighting for the final two places.

Bristol City sit fifth and will fancy their chances of getting over the line with a home win against a Preston side who are fighting to avoid the drop.

BoyleSports make the Robins 3/4 hot favourites, despite losing their last two games to Luton and Leeds. Preston's form is much worse, with six losses and two draws in their last eight matches leaving them just one point above the drop zone.

It looks like being a nervy 90 minutes but I fancy a Bristol City win with over 1.5 goals at 13/10 with BoyleSports.

We should see a lot of cards with so much at stake for both sides and over 42.5 booking points looks good at evens with Betfred.

Coventry City vs Middlesbrough

Coventry City occupy the final play-off spot in the EFL Championship but they have no margin for error today as they only lead Millwall by goal difference.

Frank Lampard's side host Middlesbrough on the final day and their opponents could still pinch a play-off spot with a win, provided both Millwall and Blackburn drop points.

That means both sides should be going for the win so it bodes well for an entertaining game and combining BTTS with no draw pays 6/5 at BoyleSports.

We saw two reds and seven yellows in Coventry's last game as they lost 1-0 to Luton so backing another busy day for the officials could pay off here as well. Once more, over 42.5 booking points pays a decent evens at Betfred.

Hibernian vs Dundee United

The race for third place in the SPFL Premiership is heating up and today's clash between Hibernian and Dundee United will be pivotal.

David Gray's men saw their 17-game unbeaten league run grind to a halt last weekend as they lost 1-0 at Aberdeen.

That moved the Dons level on points with them while United are three points further back after being hammered 5-0 by champions Celtic last weekend.

BoyleSports make Hibs their 7/10 hot favourites but I reckon this will be a tight one and the half-time draw looks the best option at 11/10.

This fixture has been pretty entertaining in recent years, with BTTS landing in seven of the last eight clashes. Combining that bet with over 2.5 goals today pays 7/5 with BoyleSports.
