I had a similar problem but I found if I logged in via the actual website rather than the app seemed to work with or without a vpn

Have you turned location to off on the privacy setting, then use google to enter bet365
Take your WiFi off and use phone data. I’ve never used vom in spain and been fine doing this. Don’t use the apps as they need your location. If need be turn location off too
