Serie A brings us three matches this Saturday, and in this article, we will take a closer look at each of these games and offer some of our favourite betting tips for them.
First up is the exciting meeting between over-performing Como and under-performing Fiorentina, followed by another interesting game in which Lazio will host Atalanta.
Finally, the evening is reserved for the derby of the round between Inter Milan and Juventus, which will close Saturday's Serie A programme.
Today’s Serie A betting tips & predictions
Como vs Fiorentina (2:00pm)
These two teams have met just a few weeks ago, in the Coppa Italia, when Como celebrated a 3-1 victory in Florence, which they then followed up with another impressive away win over Napoli after penalties, securing them a place in the semi-finals of the Italian Cup.
However, Como are also doing great in the league, where they are currently sixth in the standings and chasing a spot in European competitions for next season.
On the other hand, Fiorentina are winless in the last four matches in all competitions, they've only won once in the last six Serie A games, and they are currently in the relegation zone.
All things considered, a win for Como, who have now beaten Fiorentina three times in a row, seems like a reasonable bet.
Como vs Fiorentina top betting tip: Como to win
Lazio vs Atalanta (5:00pm)
Both Lazio and Atalanta probably hoped to be higher in the standings this season, but at least both teams are still in the race for Europe. Atalanta are seventh in the standings, six points ahead of Lazio, so they are in a better position when it comes to securing a spot in some European competition.
That being said, both teams have also reached the semi-finals of Coppa Italia and they will also meet there, so this will be a preview of that arguably more important match.
In this game, we don't expect to see a lot of goals. The last three meetings between Lazio and Atalanta have all gone under 2.5 total goals and Atalanta's matches away from home in Serie A have gone over 2.5 total goals just 27% of the time.
Since we expect a close, low-scoring game, betting on a draw or a half-time draw also sounds realistic.
Lazio vs Atalanta top betting tip: Under 2.5 total goals, Half-time draw or full-time draw
Inter Milan vs Juventus (7:45pm)
The hosts are flying high with seven wins in a row in Serie A, which secured them a nice five-point cushion at the top of the standings ahead of their city rivals, AC Milan. They are also nine points ahead of the reigning champions Napoli and 12 points ahead of Roma and their next opponent, Juventus.
Meanwhile, the guests have been unconvincing lately, with two wins in their last five matches in all competitions, which also includes a 3-0 defeat to Atalanta in the Coppa Italia. This will leave Juventus to focus on Serie A and the Champions League, where they secured a place in the knockout stages.
In any case, Juventus avoiding a loss in this match would be a surprise considering how dominant Inter were in the league this season, although the Old Lady did win their first match this season in a 4-3 thriller in Torino.
On top of that, Inter have only beaten Juventus twice in their last 10 meetings, despite clearly being the better team in recent years. With that in mind, backing the guests to cause a mild upset on Saturday doesn't sound like such a bad idea.
