The season is now in full swing and most of the Italian giants will be playing matches during the week as well, building up fatigue and creating opportunities for the Serie A teams not involved in UEFA competitions.
On Saturday, for example, we can look forward to three exciting fixtures, including a match between Lazio and AC Milan that you shouldn’t miss. Atalanta will also be looking to bounce back quickly following their recent defeat.
Below you’ll find our expert tips and predictions for all Serie A matches on Saturday.
Today’s Serie A betting tips & predictions
Genoa vs. Frosinone (2pm)
Frosinone have been one of the pleasant surprises at the start of the new season, having recorded two wins from three matches so far. It is true that they lost their match against Juventus and are certainly not on a par with the big teams, but they will still stand a good chance against sides such as Genoa.
The hosts are bottom of the table with three consecutive defeats, and just one goal scored so far. Their fixtures, however, have been far more challenging – matches against Napoli, Lazio and Como.
In other words, this is their first real opportunity to play their own brand of football, and I reckon we’ll see just that. I expect to see a high-scoring encounter with both teams finding the net.

Lazio vs. AC Milan (5pm)
Behind the scenes at Lazio, it’s complete chaos, whilst the stands are virtually empty as the club’s supporters are boycotting the season. At the same time, however, the Eagles are dominating on the pitch, being one of only three teams in Serie A with three wins so far.
AC Milan are hot on their heels following their draw at Juventus, and remain unbeaten so far as well. Ruben Amorim is certainly off to a strong start with the Rossoneri, although the real tests are yet to come.
Each of the last three matches between Lazio and AC Milan has ended 1-0 to the home side. There’s a good chance we’ll see a hard-fought battle with few goals, but in my view, both teams’ need for points is enough to ensure at least one goal per side.

Atalanta vs. Cagliari (7:45pm)
Atalanta started with two wins, but were given a reality check by AS Roma. Although the match ended 2–1, Roma had a total of 39 shots on goal and generally dominated the game from start to finish. So, clearly, Atalanta still have a lot of work to do, and the team need to capitalise on their easier fixtures.
However, Cagliari are actually hot on Atalanta’s heels in the table and have looked decent so far this season. Their defence is particularly impressive, whilst their attack certainly leaves a lot to be desired.
That's why I believe Atalanta will have the upper hand: they have more firepower up front, and their defence isn’t all that bad. It will be quite difficult for Cagliari to score, although last season they did manage a total of four goals against Atalanta.
