There are four rounds left to go, and the big questions still await answers—Who will qualify for Europe, and who will be relegated from La Liga?
On Saturday, we’ll get an equal dose of both themes. Elche host Alaves and Sevilla host Espanyol in the matches from the bottom half of the table. Later in the day, Atletico Madrid host Celta Vigo, and Real Sociedad host Real Betis, with both fixtures being crucial in the race for European qualification.
The time to act is now for all teams involved in Saturday’s schedule, and we have expert tips and predictions for all four fixtures below.
Today’s La Liga betting tips & predictions
Elche vs. Alaves (1pm)
Both Elche and Alaves dropped points in the last round and remain locked in a fierce battle for survival. This is one of those matches that feels like it’s worth six points, because the teams are direct rivals and are separated by just two points.
But certain factors give us a clear idea about this match, namely, Elche’s home form. In fact, the team is the sixth-best home side in the league, having lost only twice in 17 matches. They also have three consecutive home wins.
Alaves are scoring far more goals than before, which is why we plan to bet on over 2.5 goals as well, but we certainly expect Elche to win at home.
Elche vs. Alaves top betting tip: Elche to win, Over 2.5 goals
Sevilla vs. Espanyol (3:15pm)
Espanyol’s slump is hard to explain, but it’s a fact. The team started the season as a favorite to qualify for Europe, but now they haven’t won a game in 2026 or in 17 consecutive matches overall.
What’s worse is that they’re now just three points above the relegation zone. Sevilla are in an even worse position, but at least they win games from time to time, especially at home, where they recently defeated Real Sociedad and Atletico Madrid.
Matches between Sevilla and Espanyol are usually very tough and competitive, and we expect the same here, but we have to back Los Rojiblancos because they look far more motivated right now.
Sevilla vs. Espanyol top betting tip: Sevilla to win
Atletico Madrid vs. Celta Vigo (5:30pm)
Atletico Madrid will end the season without a trophy after all, but they can at least secure their place in the Champions League this weekend if they beat Celta Vigo, who are chasing the same goal.
On paper, the hosts’ form has improved, but they still don’t look in top shape, and that’s unlikely to change by the end of this grueling season. Celta Vigo ended their five-game losing streak, but they’re far from looking their best either.
The match is far more important for them than for Atletico, so we’ll focus on the goal markets. Nine of Atletico’s last 10 home games have featured goals at both ends.

Real Sociedad vs. Real Betis (8pm)
Real Sociedad’s slump was somewhat expected, but it’s still strange that they haven’t won a game since lifting the Copa del Rey. Their spot in the Europa League is guaranteed, but there are certainly benefits to finishing the season a little higher up the table.
Real Betis seem highly motivated to play in the Champions League next year, and to do so, they need at least two more wins.
The team scores plenty of goals but also concedes a lot, which is also characteristic of Real Sociedad. That’s exactly why we’re going with Both Teams to Score here, because it’s very risky to try to pick a winner.
