The league table after the first three rounds of the Bundesliga is quite surprising, but that makes the upcoming matches all the more interesting.

On Saturday, we continue with five matches, featuring all three of the teams currently at the top of the table – Freiburg, Dortmund and Augsburg.

Don’t miss a moment of Saturday’s Bundesliga action with our expert tips and predictions.

Today’s Bundesliga betting tips & predictions

Borussia Monchengladbach vs. Mainz (2:30pm)

It took Borussia Monchengladbach only three matches to sack Eugen Polanski and replace him with Jan-Moritz Lichte, who, however, does not have a particularly strong track record as a manager.

Given that they conceded 12 goals in their first three matches, anything would be an improvement, but Mainz certainly look capable of taking all three points right now.

The 05ers finally suffered a defeat in the last round, but they have also already shown that they are quite dangerous in attack. In my view, we’re in for a high-scoring match and a win for the visitors, who need to capitalise on Borussia’s problems and changes.

Eintracht Frankfurt vs. Freiburg (2:30pm)

Eintracht Frankfurt and Freiburg are two of my favourite teams for betting on goals, because their matches simply never disappoint (with a few exceptions).

Eintracht’s defence remains leaky, having conceded eight goals in the first three rounds. At the same time, however, they’ve scored seven, so they certainly have something to offer.

Freiburg, meanwhile, are the team in the best form in the league and are on a run of six wins across all competitions, having scored a total of 22 goals. Whichever way you look at it, there are bound to be goals in this match.

Eintracht Frankfurt vs. Freiburg top betting tip: Over 2.5 goals, BTTS

Hamburger vs. FC Koln (2:30pm)

Having already recorded the third-worst start in Bundesliga history, Hamburger will be looking to turn their fortunes around against FC Koln, who have also been underwhelming in defence.

However, following two consecutive 5-0 defeats, it is hard to expect the home side to be in high spirits. Given FC Koln’s poor defensive form, we can at least expect Hamburger to score their first goal of the season.

But in my view, there is a much greater likelihood that the visitors will take all three points, even though they haven’t won at this ground since 2018.

Hamburger vs. FC Koln top betting tip: Over 1.5 FC Koln goals

Werder Bremen vs. Augsburg (2:30pm)

No one expected such a phenomenal start from Augsburg; they are deservedly in the top three after the first few matches.

Werder Bremen are inconsistent once again; we’ve seen a bit of everything from them in the first three rounds. Still, we cannot write them off at home, and Augsburg will need to be at their very best.

An interesting fact is that Augsburg have more wins against Werder than against any other team in the Bundesliga, and last year they won 3–1 at this ground once again.

Werder Bremen vs. Augsburg top betting tip: Over 2.5 goals, Over 1.5 Augsburg goals

Stuttgart vs. Borussia Dortmund (5:30pm)

We’re in for a tough battle between the two most experienced managers in the Bundesliga, which means that Stuttgart and Dortmund should treat us to a spectacular match.

Stuttgart certainly have some work to do at the back, having already conceded eight goals in three matches. Dortmund, meanwhile, are the team in the best form alongside Freiburg, with their attack looking in top form.

I certainly expect goals at both ends, but I’ll be backing Serhou Guirassy, who has been in top form since the start of the season with four goals and two assists in all competitions.
