Today’s Bundesliga betting tips & predictions
Augsburg vs. Bayer Leverkusen (2:30pm)
Having secured their first top-half finish in years last season, Augsburg are only going from strength to strength and currently sit top of the table after the first two rounds. And this certainly doesn’t look like a fluke following their two commanding victories over Eintracht and Schalke.
Bayer Leverkusen suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of the league’s newcomers, but quickly bounced back with a commanding victory over Union Berlin. There’s no doubt the team are capable of a lot, but their performances are still very unpredictable.
An interesting fact is that Augsburg won both matches against Leverkusen last year. After the team’s opening matches, I reckon it’s definitely worth a bet again, but I also don’t expect the match to produce anything less than three goals.

Borussia Dortmund vs. Paderborn (2:30pm)
Borussia Dortmund will be looking to take top spot with a win against a resurgent Paderborn side, who are still searching for the key to victory.
BVB played during the week and beat Villarreal, recording their fourth consecutive win in all competitions. Paderborn have yet to score a goal in the Bundesliga, and I don’t think their tactic of sitting deep will help them in the long run.
If we look back a few years, the most recent competitive matches between these two sides have featured 5, 7, 6, 8 and 3 goals. Paderborn may not be the same team they were back then, but they’ll certainly struggle as visitors to Signal Iduna Park.
Borussia Dortmund vs. Paderborn top betting tip: Borussia Dortmund & Over 2.5 goals
Freiburg vs. Borussia Monchengladbach (2:30pm)
Freiburg look like a team that simply cannot put a foot wrong, and whilst their winning streak will come to an end at some point, Borussia Monchengladbach are certainly not the team to stop them.
Freiburg have recorded their fifth consecutive victory in all competitions and are undoubtedly aiming for the top of the table. Borussia have conceded 3 or more goals in two consecutive matches, losing to RB Leipzig and the newly promoted Elversberg.
In my opinion, Freiburg will capitalise fully on any mistake their opponents make and win convincingly.
Freiburg vs. Borussia Monchengladbach top betting tip: Freiburg to win
Hoffenheim vs. Stuttgart (2:30pm)
Hoffenheim have looked disappointing in defence, having conceded six goals in their first two Bundesliga matches.
Stuttgart’s matches, on the other hand, have been absolute thrillers, with some dramatic wins and losses. That said, both teams are showing strong attacking form at the start of the season, and this match looks set to be a guaranteed goal fest.
The same fixture last season ended 3–3. I expect to see goals at both ends again and over 2.5 goals.

Mainz vs. Eintracht Frankfurt (2:30pm)
Eintracht Frankfurt’s defensive problems have carried over into yet another season, and they certainly look like a side struggling to find a solution after conceding seven goals in two matches.
Mainz have started the season better than in any of their last 12 campaigns and look like a side that won’t forgive the Eagles a single mistake on Saturday.
Following their 5-0 win over Hamburger, I find it hard to expect anything other than a home victory. Especially as they failed to beat Paderborn in their first home match and owe their fans a win.

FC Koln vs. Werder Bremen (5:30pm)
At first glance, this may not seem like the most exciting match in the Bundesliga compared to all the others that have come before it, but these are two teams that know how to put on a show.
FC Koln and Werder Bremen have had similar starts to the season and will certainly be looking to build on that.
Both teams are playing attractive football at the moment, so I expect Saturday’s final match to be full of action.
