Today’s Bundesliga betting tips & predictions
Borussia Dortmund vs. Elversberg (2:30pm)
Unbeaten Borussia Dortmund remain second in the Bundesliga on 18 points after a dramatic 2-2 draw in Der Klassiker against Bayern Munich, where Fabio Silva struck an 89th-minute equaliser.
BVB boast the best defence in the league with just six conceded goals in eight matches. Their attack could be more entertaining, but it has been sufficient so far. Promoted Elversberg have been a revelation in seventh place on 13 points, dismantling Mainz 4-1 last weekend.
While the visitors carry genuine transitional threat, their best performances have all been at home this season. On the road, and particularly at Signal Iduna Park, I do not believe they are ready for what’s coming.
Borussia Dortmund vs. Elversberg top betting tip: BTTS – No
Mainz vs. Bayern Munich (2:30pm)
Mainz enter this daunting fixture on the back of four defeats in the last four matches, including a 4-1 loss to Elversberg and an early exit from the DFB Pokal last week.
League leaders Bayern Munich sit on 18 points with a league-best goal difference of +19, averaging nearly 3.4 goals per match. The Bavarians have not lost an away Bundesliga match in 30 consecutive trips, with their last defeat being exactly at this stadium almost two years ago.
With Mainz’s defensive struggles and Bayern’s need to step up after the 2-2 stalemate with Dortmund, I believe they will dismantle the hosts and retain the top position in the table.
Mainz vs. Bayern Munich top betting tip: Bayern Munich & Over 2.5 goals
Paderborn vs. Eintracht Frankfurt (2:30pm)
Paderborn sit 14th in the table on nine points, relying primarily on defensive structure after scoring just six goals in eight league matches.
Frankfurt have been inconsistent defensively, conceding 18 times, yet their rapid transitions should allow them to dominate territory at the Home Deluxe Arena.
Historically, these teams produced some fantastic clashes when they were together in the elite years ago. But given Paderborn’s low-scoring profile, I do not see this going the same way. I am more inclined to a minimal away win, although a 2-1 is also possible.
Paderborn vs. Eintracht Frankfurt top betting tip: Eintracht Frankfurt draw no bet
RB Leipzig vs. Augsburg (2:30pm)
Fourth-placed RB Leipzig will look to make ground on the summit after scoring 22 goals across their opening eight fixtures, a tally second only to Bayern Munich.
RB are formidable at the Red Bull Arena, having won all four matches so far and without conceding a single goal (18:0). This should worry the visitors, who have hit a five-match winless slide after a sensational season start.
I believe that you need something special to beat the Red Bulls at home right now, and Augsburg do not possess that.
RB Leipzig vs. Augsburg top betting tip: RB Leipzig & Over 1.5 goals
Stuttgart vs. Werder Bremen (5:30pm)
Stuttgart surprisingly sit 11th in the standings on nine points, having endured an all-or-nothing campaign (W3, L5) alongside a negative goal difference of -1.
Werder Bremen arrive as one of the division's in-form outfits, occupying fifth place on 15 points and propelled by league top scorer Niclas Fullkrug with nine goals.
Bremen have lost only once all season and consistently pose major problems through aerial duels and direct set pieces. Shockingly, bookies believe them to be massive underdogs, giving us an opportunity for a double chance bet.
