Freiburg will try to close the gap to the Top 6 against a Werder Bremen under new management, while the resurgent Mainz will attempt to escape the drop zone for the first time when they host an improved Augsburg.

In the following lines, we provide expert betting tips and predictions for all six of today’s Bundesliga matches.

Today’s Bundesliga betting tips & predictions

Freiburg vs. Werder Bremen (2:30pm)

Freiburg's recent drop in form has left them stranded a whole eight points below the top six halfway through the season. The Breisgau Brazilians need a winning streak, and they need it now, as the leading group has proven to be a level above the rest of the league.

Werder Bremen are in a state of turmoil, just a point above the drop zone, as they resorted to a mid-season managerial change. Daniel Thioune will make his debut in charge of the team in his first-ever Bundesliga match with hopes of ending the River Islanders’ 10-match winless run.

Freiburg won the last three H2Hs with a combined 10-0, and Werder’s horrendous away form points to an easy home win. The hosts are unbeaten in their last 13 home matches across all competitions, while scoring an average of 2.0 goals per game.

Freiburg vs. Werder Bremen top betting tip: Freiburg to win, Over 1.5 Freiburg goals

Heidenheim vs. Hamburger (2:30pm)

While Hamburg are in a much better position in the league table, both teams share a worrying stat – neither side has won a Bundesliga match in 2026. Heidenheim remain bottom of the league with 13 points in 20 games, while Hamburg are just above the drop zone with 19.

The Red Shorts produced a sensational 2-2 draw at home with Bayern Munich last week, but they are the only team in the league without an away win. With a 4:18 goal difference on the road, few would back them even against Heidenheim.

FCH’s last league win was in early December, and the only positive since then has been the increased number of goals scored. With both teams desperate for points, this appears to be a potential draw.

Heidenheim vs. Hamburger top betting tip: BTTS, Draw

Mainz vs. Augsburg (2:30pm)

The two most in-form sides in the bottom half of the table clash in a match that could cause serious shifts in the standings.

Urs Fischer’s arrival has changed the 05ers for the better, as Mainz have lost only one of nine fixtures since he took the reins. But while their back-to-back wins over RB Leipzig and Wolfsburg are impressive, Augsburg will be a serious challenge.

The Fuggerstadter recently gave Bayern Munich their first Bundesliga loss, and it was away from home. Similarly, Augsburg’s form improved after a managerial change, but they have much to prove yet. Beating the champions was sensational, but Augsburg lost six of their previous seven away games.

Mainz vs. Augsburg top betting tip: BTTS, Mainz to win

St Pauli vs. Stuttgart (2:30pm)

It feels like St Pauli have a one-way ticket to the lower league, and Stuttgart plan to make their situation even worse.

St Pauli are the lowest-scoring team in the league and are still winless in 2026. The only positive ahead of this fixture is the fact that they haven’t lost at the Millerntor-Stadion since November. Seven of their last 10 competitive fixtures featured goals from both sides, but scoring against this Stuttgart team will be a different challenge.

A few more wins and Stuttgart will secure their place in Europe for next season, and it is hard to expect anything different against St Pauli. The Swabians won five of their last six away games in all competitions, while scoring 2+ goals in each win.

St Pauli vs. Stuttgart top betting tip: Stuttgart to win, Over 1.5 Stuttgart goals

Wolfsburg vs. Borussia Dortmund (2:30pm)

Bayern Munich’s recent drop in form has created an opportunity for Borussia Dortmund to close the gap to the top, meaning this is the worst time to face the Prussians.

Wolfsburg are a loss away from the drop zone, and their one win in six games makes it hard to trust them against Dortmund. Their record against the Prussians makes it even worse, as the Wolves have won just two of the last 22 H2Hs.

Borussia scored 2+ goals in each of their last six Bundesliga fixtures, winning five of them. They are just six points away from Bayern Munich, so we expect another strong performance on Saturday.

Wolfsburg vs. Borussia Dortmund top betting tip: Dortmund to win, Over 2.5 goals

Borussia Monchengladbach vs. Bayer Leverkusen (5:30pm)

The Foals need the three points to stay clear of the relegation zone, while Bayer Leverkusen can’t afford another misstep if they want to remain close to the top four.

Gladbach won just one of their last five Bundesliga matches, while suffering heavy defeats to Stuttgart (3-0) and Hoffenheim (5-1). Die Werkself suffered setbacks from the same two opponents in January, but have shown clear signs of improvement with four wins in a row since.

Borussia Monchengladbach last beat Leverkusen in 2019, losing nine of the 12 H2Hs since then, while conceding 2+ goals in 10 of those fixtures.
