Things haven’t gone to plan for Tudor after he replaced Thomas Frank as Spurs head coach, with the ex-Juventus player and manager losing each of his opening two Premier League matches in charge of the North London club.

A 1-4 defeat at home to North London rivals Arsenal was followed by another reverse in a London derby on Sunday, as they lost 2-1 away at in-form Fulham.

The Lilywhites are now winless in each of their previous 10 Premier League fixtures since a 0-1 victory in the reverse fixture with their upcoming opponents at the end of 2025, meaning they lie in 16th position in the table, just four points outside of the relegation zone.

Crystal Palace are hardly in fine fettle themselves, as they make the short trip north to the capital having won just two of their previous 13 Premier League encounters (W2-D3-L8).

The latest of those defeats came on Sunday, as they conceded two second-half goals at Old Trafford to lose 2-1 to resurgent Manchester United, meaning they remain two places and five points better off than their hosts.

How the bookies view it: Spurs unconvincing favourites

Despite being winless in each of their previous 10 Premier League fixtures, Spurs head into this clash as favourites, with bet365 pricing a home success at 27/20.

The Eagles are 21/10 to claim just a third Premier League victory since the middle of December, whilst the draw is 9/4.

Head to head: Spurs looking to do the double

Spurs have been victorious in each of their previous six meetings with the Eagles (W6-D0-L2), including that 0-1 victory in the reverse fixture at Selhurst Park at the end of December.

However, Crystal Palace did do the double over Spurs last season, including a 0-2 success on their last visit to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last May.

Players to watch: Richarlison to record another goal contribution?

Richarlison scored his first goal since returning from a hamstring injury last weekend in Spurs’ defeat at Craven Cottage, taking his Premier League tally to eight goals.

The Brazilian frontman also set up the only goal in the reverse fixture at the end of December, and he is an appealing 1/1 at bet365 to Score or Assist on Thursday.

Predicted line-ups:

Spurs will be without Destiny Udogie, Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison, Ben Davies, Lucas Bergvall, Rodrigo Bentancur, Wilson Odobert, Djed Spence and Mohammed Kudus through injury, whilst Cristian Romero is still suspended.

Crystal Palace will be without the injured Jefferson Lerma, Cheick Doucoure, Eddie Nketiah and Jean-Phillipe Mateta, whilst defender Maxence Lacroix is suspended following his red card at Old Trafford last weekend.

Tottenham Hotspur: Vicario, Porro, Danso, Van de Ven, Gray, Palhinha, Bissouma, Gallagher, Simons, Kolo Muani, Richarlison

Crystal Palace: Henderson, Richards, Canvot, Riad, Munoz, Wharton, Kamada, Mitchell, Sarr, Johnson, Larsen

Anything else catch the eye?

Given the form both of these teams enter this clash in, it’s near impossible to back either side with any confidence, with goals looking like a safer way to approach it.

Over 2.5 Goals has landed in seven of Spurs’ previous eight Premier League clashes across all venues, as well as in each of their last four and five of their past six in front of their supporters and a repeat pays an appealing 17/20 at William Hill.
