VILLARREAL have come up just short in their quest for European football so there's nothing to play for on the final day of La Liga as they visit Osasuna.
Marcelino's side certainly tried their hardest to take it to the final game as they played out a 4-4 thriller with champions Real Madrid last weekend on a good day for our man Gabriel.
But the dropped points left them four points behind Real Betis in the last European slot so the Yellow Submarine won't be surfacing on foreign shores next term.
Osasuna also have nothing to play for in their final fixture, although a victory could take them above Alaves into the top half of the table depending on how Deportivo get on at Las Palmas.
Jagoba Arrasate has done a good job this season and the Osasuna manager will be out to put on a show for the home fans on the final day.
How the bookies view it: Villarreal in the box seat
Having caused Real Madrid so many problems last weekend, Villarreal are Bet365's 5/4 favourites to sign off with a win. Osasuna are 2/1 shots while the draw pays 13/5.
Recent head to head: It has been nip and tuck
Villarreal won 3-1 at El Madrigal when Osasuna came calling earlier in the season but this fixture has been closely contested in recent years. The eight meetings before that produced four wins apiece so that makes this game a tricky one to call.
When Villarreal last came to El Sadar Stadium they emerged with a 3-0 victory so Marcelino will be hoping for a repeat of that display from last season.
Players to watch: Sorloth in the groove
Alexander Sorloth didn't deserve to be on the losing side last weekend for Villarreal. After Gabriel backed him to score, the Norwegian smashed home four against Real Madrid. He's 8/5 for anytime scorer here and 6/4 for over 1.5 shots on target which looks excellent value on recent form.
Raul Garcia was Osasuna's star man as they romped to a 4-1 win away to Atletico Madrid last time out. He scored a double that day and is 9/4 for anytime scorer here which could be worth a look.

Marcelino made three half-time changes last weekend for Villarreal but that was tactical as his side trailed 4-1 before stunning Real Madrid with a comeback. It will be interesting to see if he rings more changes to his starting line-up.

There's not much between these sides and they both go into the game in decent form. So it should be a close encounter and the half-time draw looks worth a punt at 11/8.
Four of the last five Las Palmas games have seen fewer than 10 corners, although their last home outing did see the tally reach 12. With neither side needing to go all out for a win it could pay to back under 10 corners here at 5/6.
