NEWCASTLE UNITED were involved in that eight-goal thriller last week at home to Luton Town, but they's settle for any kind of scrappy win at Nottingham Forest on Saturday night.
Eddie Howe's side have been a major disappointment this season and there's no getting away from that. They were tipped to burst into the top four and perhaps even mount a title challenge after exciting progress last season.
But ravaged by an injury list from hell and lots of inconsistent performances, they currently sit in ninth place which is an embarrassing position given the money they've thrown at it.
It's been their away form that has killed them – even though they have won their last two games away from the north east at Fulham and impressively at Aston Villa – they are fifth bottom in the away league table.
Forest were in midweek FA Cup action against Bristol City and eventually made it through to the next round on penalties after twice being held by the Championship side 0-0 at Ashton Gate and 1-1 on Wednesday.
They've not won a league game this year yet though and remain deep in trouble – they are just two points ahead of the relegation zone.
