PSG travel to troubled Lorient for a midweek fixture as they continue their march towards the Ligue 1 title. Lorient have struggled for much of the season and should be no march for the superior quality of the Parisians.
It has been a difficult campaign for Lorient, who have spent much of the season mired in the relegation zone. They are three points from safety and need an immediate turnaround in fortunes in order to beat the drop.
The problem for Lorient is that they have been particularly poor in recent weeks and are winless in their last five matches, failing to score in four fixtures in that run. They have suffered four defeats in that run and were beaten 3-0 by Nice last time out in Ligue 1.
Things are also at rough at home for Lorient, who have picked up one win from their last nine matches in front of their fans. Regis Le Bris’ men have suffered six defeats in that run, failing to score in the last three.
PSG are on a high at the moment and travel to Lorient off the back of a 4-1 victory over Lyon in their previous Ligue 1 fixture. Goncalo Ramos netted a brace while Beraldo was also on target after Nemanja Matic’s unfortunate own-goal had opened the scoring.
The Parisians appear to be hitting their stride at the home stretch of the season and are now unbeaten in their last 24 Ligue 1 matches. Luis Enrique’s men have won three of the last four matches in that run and are now 11 points clear at the top of the standings.
PSG have impressed on their travels so far and are yet to taste defeat away from home this season. They have won five of the last six fixtures on the road, keeping clean sheets in three of the last four in that run.

PSG have been installed as overwhelming favourites among the bookies and are priced at 2/5 by William Hill to claim the win. An unlikely victory for Lorient is valued at 13/2 by Paddy Power while bet365 is offering odds of 4/1 for a draw.
Head to head
PSG have a 21-10 advantage with seven draws from 38 previous matches against Lorient. However, both teams battled to a 0-0 draw in the reverse fixture back in August.
Players to watch
Kylian Mbappe was an unused substitute for PSG against Lyon last weekend and could be handed a start on Wednesday. The forward remains the Ligue 1 top scorer with 24 goals and is priced at 7/10 by Unibet to score anytime.
PSG have kept three clean sheets in their last four away matches and with Lorient struggling for goals at the moment, they will be targeting a similar outcome. Beraldo has caught the eye at centre-back and can lead the Parisians to another clean sheet at 11/8 with BoyleSports.

PSG won to nil in their previous away fixture and could be set for a repeat at 17/10 with BetVictor. Given their one-sided results in recent times, they could be tipped in the -handicap market at 11/10 with Unibet.
